That the system be Memstick based... UMD is the worse, load times on a portable are unfun...

So go get the PAL version, they make them. But I have no idea why you would want to waste your money on a thing to display PSP games on TV

Firewall blocking the connection to the steam servers? Can you log into steam? www.steampowered.com has a good KB to help people solve their issues.

Yes it probably is somewhat, but really I don't see why you would need to jump to dual core ATM. That CPU is plenty fast. Plus, the longer you wait the cheaper and faster the x2 CPU you will buy will be. Then again if money isn't a issue go grab the x2 6000+ if for you, then again that's the CPU you should get when you decided to upgrade anyway. I think that is the last AM2 CPU but I could be wrong about that.

Why not just go to a top end Pentium D 960 or a EE edition, should give you ample performance for the near future.
