Doesit really matter? Gamespot gave PDZ a really high score and it's clear it didn't deserve.NeoStar9

Yeah, kind of.

I agree with you that Gamespot overrated PDZ but it does have an 81 on GR, a difference of .9 isn't "huge."

Red Steel was panned by critics - it has a 64% on GR..... that's a substantially larger difference. Out of all the reviews on GR (that count) NGamer gave it the highest score (the only counted reviewer to give it a 9.0+, everyone else was lower... everyone else.)

So yeah... NGamer isn't exactly all that credible. I'm not saying Manhunt 2 will be bad, I'm just saying it's probably wiser to wait for the credible crop of reviews.

gameruk2010

NGamer? Are they the ones that gave Red Steel a 90%?

[QUOTE="dhjohns"]I think the no comment bit was really about why they didn't do it earlier. They should have but I hope this situation is getting solved.GermanShepard06

But that wasn't even asked in the article. The question that was asked to them was whether or not they're using them right now and Microsoft said that they wouldn't "go into details," although it's clear they are in fact now using them.

only with the Elite x360, thats why you need to pay extra money. The reg x360's are still the same and they dont even care if x360's continue to break. This is why I avoided a console from an american company, proft first before quality and the rest.

No, did you even read the article you linked?

These new heatsinks were found in new REGULAR (Premium and Core) 360's, in fact the interviewer asked the Microsoft rep if they panned on implementing this new material in the Elite models (because they noticed instead of new heatsinks the Elites were using Epoxy to secure the chipsets down.)

And most of the consoles from all three companies are built and assembled in CHINA, not their respective "home" countries.

Orly? is that why todays x360's are also overheating?

Dude, that's the POINT. Today's 360's are overheating so very, very recently Microsoft has started to use these heatsinks to help solve the problem.

I feel like I'm talking to someone who can barely read.

yah i was very confused about his coment bill. but glad you cleared it up for him.

read again, only the Elite is using them and i wasnt even talking about those cuz for them u got to pay the extra money, GOT THAT?

Einstein, read the article again. You're completely wrong.

These heatsinks are in REGULAR 360's, and so they asked the Microsoft rep if instead of epoxy the Elites would start using them as well and the rep said they would be "identical" (which means if this heatsink is somewhat of a solution the Elites will use them as well.)

You must have terrible reading comprehension.

Got that?

[QUOTE="Bill_McBlumpkin"]

Isn't the point of that article that they ARE now using those heatsinks???

GermanShepard06

after 2 years??? its too late now. They were told to use these but they didnt want to cuz it would cost them more.

That's not true, not only is what you just said NOT in the article and completely made up (they weren't told to do this, they found this by searching for ways to fix the problem. They were never told "Use new heatsinks,") it doesn't have anything to do with what you said in your opening post. You said:

"these new heatsinks would improve x360's from overheating but they just dont want to pay for it"

Microsoft found out that by changing the heatsink it helped the problem... and so they're using them right now (and thus paying for them,) and no one "told" them to use them, they discovered that they helped solve the problem so they started using them.
