I knew there were a few games in my collection that I hadn't finished yet. Today I decided to actually go through my list of games and make a separate list of those games which I haven't finished. I think it turned out to be a longer list than I had anticipated. After writing my list out, I realized, not only have I not finished these games, but there are several on the list that I never even started playing. The list crosses every possible platform or genre boundary. My list also covers games from the absolutely horrible to the AAA gems of a given platform.
Now, before I unveil my list I want to say, when I say "finish" I mean in whatever possible way a particular game could be 'finished.' That could mean, solving every puzzle of a puzzle game, or finishing the main quest of a non-linear RPG, or whatever the case may be. Without further ado here are 39 games I own but have not finished. Arranged by platform and then alphabetically.

Am I the only one here? Anyone else have a large backlog of unfinished (or in some cases unplayed) games?
Good post but I think you should try the final version of Halo 3 to really have a fair comparison of everything you stated.dreamscott
I've actually been considering buying it for a while, but I'm still on the fence. I'm kinda hoping for a demo, but I doubt it'll happen.
I liked one I saw about a study that found, "People have sex because it feels good."
I sure am glad we spent money on that study. Finally the mystery is revealed.
Fire Flower, how I have missed thee.
The more I hear about Super Mario Galaxy the more I look forward to it.
I wouldn't consider myself a "Halo hater."
You have to understand where some people are coming from. I've been a PC gamer for several years. Great multiplayer first-person shooters are abundant in the PC market. It's true, Halo was a great console FPS. It did a lot to elevate console first-person shooters. But those of us who grew up playing first-person shooters on PCs aren't impressed because we've been playing better for years.
In addition, I'm not only a PC gamer, but I remember when Goldeneye 007 came out for the N64. Now, granted, it didn't have internet multiplayer, but I still think that Goldeneye 007 was far more influential and popular for its time. It even turned RPG fanboys like me into FPS lovers. When I had friends over there was only one game to play: Goldeneye.
So, see, with me, I have a long history of video gaming, and I just don't see anything that amazingly different about Halo.
