How do u loose money on Vista when its bundled with practically every PC?So Sony lost 1.5 Billion and suddenly this huge fanboy news? Where was the doom response when MS secretly announced they ultimately have lost near $20 BILLION on Windows Vista alone. That figure came out in a PC World article late last year. The article also discussed how Windows 7 is almost a last shot for MS because if it doesn't reach near XP success, or at least helps recoup Vista losses costs, they may be in huge trouble in terms of how much market share they held in the OS market.
What i'm saying is both companies (Sony and MS) are multifaceted, and right now their luxury items aren't selling as well thanks to bad word of mouth (Early-PS3,Vista) and the economic recession. Hell, MS was at one point a 3-digit stock and last week I saw it trading near the twenties. Google went down low when the initial crisis hit but even they are over 3-figure trades again.
At the end of the day, all console makers are still doing their job in providing top quality gaming entertainment that we love and enjoy. If they lost a few points here and there or are posting losses shouldn't even affect you unless you A)work for them or B) own some of their stock. Both companies are still announcing fantastic looking games that they are publishing and both are still leaking rumours that new hardware is on the way. The only person's losing out in all this are fanboys who can't see that the only difference between an Xbox 360 and a Playstation 3 are a small pool of games between them, and that both systems do exactly what they were built for; giving you fantastic immersive,thought provoking, and entertaining gaming experiences.
