Any time you use humor to insult/belittle/attack any group, even if you do it ironically or with the best of intentions, you're going to hurt some people's feelings. Regardless of how sensitive the audience is to the humor, the person making the joke is responsible for their audience's hurt feelings. People are individuals, and nobody has a right to tell them how to receive a joke. In Pewdiepie's case, that responsibility happens to carry a steep price. Let that be a lesson.
Let's put these numbers into perspective: according to IMDB this film's budget was $125 million, so by the looks of things it's going to be a major flop.
