Go to which format has more movies you are likely to buy ... right now they're neck and neck in terms of quality. Each format has features the other doesn't.

I'll put it into perspective for you guys, this is just my opinion however. I watch all my HDM on a 32" 720p Samsung LCD, the $550 for the HD-A1, and $549 for the 20GB PS3 and the cost of the 57 HD movies i have bought so far have all been worth the improvement to me. Mind you I am a major movie buff.

The format wont last very long, its not worth it. Buying a Blu Ray player would be a better choice.MGS9150

Both formats are virtually identical in terms of quality (with each having their own pros/cons). Go for the format that has the most movies you like on it ... best way to go.

HD DVD sucks? Yeah ok buddy, its quality is identical to BD. Also the LG Superblue is a horrible HD DVD player, also its just as cheap to buy a stand alone BD player with a stand alone Toshiba HD-A2.

LCD's generally have a life span of 60 000 hours. It certainly won't last as long as it would if you weren't using it that much, but 60 000 hours is a lot of watch time. By then you'll most certainly be ready to replace it.

I believe it was $450 for a 4 year warrenty, TV was $2199. At the time i bought it i thought it was a good idea to purchase a warrenty incase anything happened ... so far nothing has.
