Congrats to the Giants and thier fans. Everything fell your way...again. Enjoy!.

EDIT: I should say that the Giants did win the game so they did earn the win. Just kind of a reactionary comment. Take a few days or so to heal I guess. Not sure which one nothers me more though yet. This one or 2007. Probably the 07 though since it was so much more flukey (if that is even a word) of a win.

Super Bowl XLVI
New England Patriots vs New York Giants
NE: 27 NYG: 24

Explain: I think back to a few weeks ago when I felt pretty confident that the Giants looking like 2007 form would beat the Packers and how the Pats have been anything like thier 07' counterpart. They on the other have actually been an very much up and down team that by all accounts, inlcuding my own, thier D stinks. Then even thier offense which started out hot struggled later on in the seaspn taking sometimes till the second half to get going.

So how can they beat the Giants that seem so much better?

I am not even sure I can explain this one, but it will happen...I hope.

I am both excited and nervous about the game. Beyond that...don't really want to say much till it is over. Wish it was here already though.

Billy Cundiff back next year for the Ravens or no?

Or the 49'ers returner Kyle Williams.

Thae Saints loss was was a shocker. I think I was the only one to pick the Giants to win still I found that one a shock too in how bad the Packers looked.

Just thought I would comment on that Denver Post writer complaint that the Patriots are cheating by being able to hire McDaniels. First if you haven't read it here is the link to this brilliant piece of writing http://www.denverpost.com/broncos/ci_19709279

Best part of the article points out how the Broncos the themselves have done this but this on is different because it is in the palyoffs and the only teams operating are the playoff teams. Pretty sure that is wrong. Last I checked I have seen teams like the Jets and Raiders losing or firing guys and hiring guys as well as other teams and they are not in the playoffs. But I guess we don't get paid to know these things in Denver.

At any rate the guy was actually a guest on PFW in Progress the Pats internet radio podcast and he seemed like an alright guy who maybe wrote the article more on emotion.

Pats/Denver should interesting though I am not convinced the outcome will be different than last time but hey after last weekend you have to be feeling good no matter what.

Giants and the Pack also could be something. I think the the factor there is whether good Eli shows up or bad Eli. You know earlier this year Eli was asked is he thought he was as good as Brady or something like that and he said yes and he was scutinized for it. I do not think he is as good as Brady, or Rogers Brees, or even his own brother but I do think Eli has the ability to be really great at times. I thought for instance he was great in the 2007 SB. I thought he looked pretty great last week agaist the Falcons too. Anyway...if that guy shows up to that game along with the Giants punch you in the mouth D than you might not be seeing the Pack going for a SB repeat here.

Saints at 49ers == I am loving the Niners Underdog story but I think Alex Smith can only cary you so far.

Broncos at Patriots == Another great story with Tebow, but one that will have to be continued next season I hope or will this be yet another year where my team goes 1 and done.

Sunday, January 15
Texans at Ravens == Well I was wrong about one thing. The Texans still managed still win thier division this season though in a in laghable but sort of imprempressive fashion all things considered I felt and who knows they may win it some more with things a little uncertain up in Indy right now but although it would make an insane story if they would win this game that really enjoy I just cant see them pulling this upset off.

Giants at Packers == I don't know why but I think the Packers have had it so easy this season from thier schedule to to teams in a slump when they met them, or hit by a major injury. On the other side the Giants are one of those teams that can be very decieving at times during the year or any year for that matter. You see them one week and say they don't look that good and then there they are beating your undeafeted team in the SB or this this case maybe stopping some else's team from repeating.
