Honestly bro you don't want to grow up too fast. I'm only turning 19 in a couple weeks -- but highschool is quite a relaxing time compared to university ... enjoy every moment of it.
lol civil war? Send proposal to Sony and have them sponsored a tournament between fat and slim faction. Both faction settle their dispute in online game e.g. LBP, Warhawk, MAG, and Killzone 2. Oh and my white fat ps3 will inject PS3.2K (not Y2K) virus to your slim, turn them to albino white slim ps3. :P

It'll be like East and West Germany all over again ... except online, and almost nothing like East/West Germany!
If not for the fact that I have access to 2 DSi and 1 DSlite (mine, my wife and my sons), and the price being a little higher than I'd like I'd jump all over the DSi XL.
Hmmm, I am old I'll admit that (so maybe the poster who previously said it was for old people was right), oh wait I play my DSi all the time and with games that aren't considered casual. Of my 80 DS games and 45 gba games probably at least 10 percent gets played weekly. A few things I do wish however was that my DSi was a little bigger because I do play it so much (at home) that a larger screen would be great. Also, my son is constantly wanting me to play a game so he can watch me play it and I'll tell you that nothing is worse than trying to play a DS game with a 5 year old putting his face in front of the screen while you're trying to play. The larger screen and better view angle would be great for this. If you've got kids then playing a handheld in the home isn't so odd, it's really the only kind of game machine you can move around the house with to relax and play with where your kids aren't.
Finally having a little more hand space would be a plus. So no, I don't think it's a joke I think it fills a lot of wants/needs that I have issues with on the current platform. That said I'll probably not be picking one up right away do to the fact that I currently have 3 (and a gba and gamecube gba player) for the portable games I already have.

If only we had a DS game player like the gba player ...
I think if you pay $20 to $30 for a blu-ray movie idk whats wrong with paying$60 for a game that'll last you longer. (I thought someone already made that point)PersonNinja
However, if you feel that even that is too much then the prices don't mesh. I will never pay more than $10 for a movie -- it just isn't worth it for me to spend more than that. And in most cases I spend even less than that ... Sure the budget that goes into movies warrants that kind of price ($20 not $30) in *some* situations -- but really Movies and Games are the same value -- obviously one lasts longer, but it is a different experience and thus really shouldn't be directly compared. The technology would dictate that it should be relatively the same, but really they are quite different. Plus the longevity of it doesn't play that much of a factor ... I mean a book lasts longer than a movie, but you wouldn't pay $30 for a book -- of course there is an exception here and there -- but on the aggregate you wouldn't pay that much. And if longevity really played a factor why are 50+ Hour Games the same price as 8 hour games? Your point is completely valid that the technology is there, but I feel that both Blue Rays (released at 29.99 where I live), and Games (released at 69.99 where I live) as a little steep. And for that matter -- paying $10 to go to a movie isn't much better ...
