@Ohaidere: you spent three thousand bucks on a laptop. What you would actually know about value is, clearly, not a whole lot.
BTW, the PS5 Pro is not that powerful whatsoever, dude. It's using a bunch of upscaling techniques that, frankly, the original console should have already been able to do, to essentially have a form of DLSS3. Actual horsepower isn't particularly amazing, so... I dunno, look it up.
@joecollin: Sorry bud, you didn't make a damned point. Who cares if PS4 required it from the beginning. That's irrelevant to the actual point which I made, and you ignored. Your math is utterly nonsensical, and I pointed out the reasons why. I will go another step and point out that the cost per game isn't fixed, as you are required to have the subscription to play any of the games they give out. Saying it's "a dollar" is patently false. You don't get permanent ownership of any of the games. You don't have a valid argument. Even if the games weren't either absurdly cheap more often than not due to constant sales anyway, or just not worth your time.
Now, again, I am plainly and simply going to tell you, stop defending a surcharge that you claim to have value, when it simply doesn't. Especially not when the primary cost has absolutely nothing to do with the monthly games, which you get less of now, for a more expensive price than ever, anyway, due to one massive price spike. Stop ignoring simple logic. It makes you look ridiculous, whether you realize it, or not. 😊
@joecollin: multiplayer on PS3 was one hundred percent FREE, genius. You seriously don't have a clue about reality. No wonder you blindly accept what is essentially a type of surcharge to fucking unlock a basic functionality. Well, certainly you and everyone else who blindly supported that surcharge known as Xbox Live and screwed everyone, including yourselves. Thanks for that.
But, no. Your timeline of the multiplayer surcharge is completely off. You are also ignoring that the subscription must be maintained to keep access to any and all games you may have gotten through the service, for whatever laughable reason. They're directly tied to the ongoing cost. They don't cost a dollar or whatever you want to purely make up to defend what is a gouging practice. If it was an optional service, LIKE IT WAS ON PS3, it would be fair. Oh, and if 99 percent of the games weren't awful. Like in the PS3 days as well. 😄
