SWAT4 co-op is awesome.

SWAT4 co-op is some of the best gaming I have had in quite a while.

The game needs a way to quickly end a round though. At the opening of one round, a perp spawned right in front of everyone and promptly killed all but one person. There was no way we could find to restart other than having that last guy dis and reconnect to the server.

The doors that say "use to exit" don't do anything either as I was the last one near at the end of a round and did not want to have to finish the entire thing alone. The only other way was to let myself be shot but we had already taken care of the perps and all there was left was a whole lot of civilians.

I almost ran out of zip-cuffs!

My first SWAT4 co-op experience.

The game was really fun, but the server browser leaves much to be desired. I hope to get Qtracker to support it.

It took a while to get into a game, and only once there could I see that the round just started and I was going to have to wait several minutes before actually getting in the game.

All that and then I finally get in a game and then I promply got shot! DAGNABBIT!

Most of the servers I tried to join did not actually have the same number of people that was showing in the browser. Some 4 of 5's were empty or only had one person in it. I wonder how many servers that showed they were empty actually had squads that needed a rookie like me.

This needs some work patch-wise methinks.

Looks like the PSU fixed it.

I was able to play SWAT4 for almost an hour without any problems at all. Looks like that flaky power supply was the culprit.

Since I already had the case open, I went ahead and installed my old Soundblaster Audigy Gamer card and it fixed that slight sound crackle problem I was having not to mention that it actually sounds better. Sweet!

New PSU in, so far so good.

Only two voltages move now and they only move .01 volts. The 12 volt rail is at 11.97 and it is rock solid. I was able to play SWAT4 for about ten minutes before work without incident. I want an entire SWAT4 gaming session to pass before I jump for joy though.

Bad power supply mebbe?

I go looking for answers to my SWAT problem and I see that lots of people with my type of rig had power problems that were causing instability.

I tried to play some HL2 last night and while it has locked before, last night I got the same BSOD error that I got with SWAT4.

I downloaded a program that tests the voltage and it fluctuates from 12.4 to 11.8. Sitting at the bios screen, it moves every few seconds and actually more than one voltage is moving. Its only moving .02 volts or so but that may mean the PSU is about to bite the dust.

I am praying that a new PSU will fix everything.

Plus my current PSU makes a high-pitched squeal that is starting to bug me.
