[QUOTE="Bretter2200"]! Enjoy your linear, scripted and mediocre multi-player game with no co-op...finalfantasy94

Last time I checked uncharted 2 had great MP and co-op was in it. By the looks of it uncharted 3 will follow.

But it's co-op is absolutely incomparable to Gears 3. Gears 3 allowing you to play 4+ player co-op in every single aspect of the game including campaign.

[QUOTE="Bretter2200"]It's funny that people say Uncharted 3 will be a superior game without any correct claim to there reasoning. You say gameplay with kickbacks, power plays and customization. I say Horde 2.0, Beast Mode, 40 Unlockable Characters, mutators, 15 + new weapons, 100's of Ribbons/Medals, arcade mode, vehicles , 4 player co-op campaign, thirty five dynamic Weapon skins, dynamic environment, 50 ultra-cinematic executions for each weapon, dynamic changing enemies, cinematic death animation, 6 dynamic non-scripted bosses, FXAA, theater, updated engine, dedicated servers, along with a three year development time. I know you'll say those aren't major so before that confrontation begins let me list my reasoning on each one... Examples, Horde 2.0 added a new faction to fight, defenses and currency. Beast mode is innovative allowing you to play as your enemy where A.I set up defenses much like Horde mode. 40 unlock able characters. 100's of medals and ribbons where not in the previous game at all, it gives you a feeling of achievement and X.P when you complete one; making the Mp more fun. Arcade mode, I don't know much about. Vehicles is absolutely huge, I never thought they'd be able to incorporate it into Gears but they did. Four player co-op campaign, few games let you play through an entire campaign with four people at once. Thirty five dynamic Weapon skins, most of which are animated and give a more customization experience to MP, without unbalancing the game. Dynamic environments are large, once more they give a changing feeling to MP and make maps far more fun. Fifty ultra-cinematic executions for overall, the fact you're able to execute someone in real time in over fifty different, gruesome ways is absolutely marvelous. Dynamic changing enemies, few games include this. The enemies will mutate dynamically to larger or stronger beings anywhere, anytime. Even in enclosed structured areas completely unscripted. An updated engine, I shouldn't even have to say what's great about this. Dedicated servers, Gears is a very fast paced MP. A fiber internet connection to ensure no lag reaches any games will be absolutely superb, I wish other games would follow this. Three year development time, another obvious one. Thanks to this the development team at Epic got to lengthen the campaign and polish it making it superior. Graphically, I also suggest Gears 3. Gears of War 3 uses the newest form of Unreal Engine for graphics. No other graphics engine on any other console offers the advanced graphics techniques seen in Gears of War 3.Everyone is entitled to an opinion. But the fact is the Gears of War games display far more polygons than the Uncharted games while you are playing. This specification cannot be debated. From a technical point of view there is no doubt Gears of War has the advantage over Uncharted. Gears of War 3 almost looks like a "next-gen" game because it is so far ahead of Gears 1 and Gears 2 in many ways. Gears of War 3 has an incredibly far-reaching line of sight, similar to Crysis 2. When you are playing in an environment where it is possible to see small details from a far distance, you see all of those details in Gears of War 3. What's even more amazing is that weather has an affect on virtually everything. The lighting, shading, reflections and lens flare are just as good as Crysis, if not better. But Gears of War 3 takes this a step further by adding storms, lightning, rain, and other environmental affects that are each influenced by moving objects and weather. The reason for this is because the new Unreal Engine has so many graphics modifications and improvements. I've studied the new Unreal Engine and everything new to Gears of War 3. Like I said, there are all sorts of weather tricks and graphic techniques to make fire, smoke, wind, lighting, shading, and reflections react perfectly in relation to everything else. For example, now we see Cole's helmet has high-gloss reflections and lighting, just like a real helmet. More examples would be how the women in Gears of War 3 have faces and hair with so many polygons it looks vastly superior to other games. For example, I was watching how a new female villain character in Uncharted 3 has an area of the face around the jaw area that is made up of straight lines instead of curves. Having a face that isn't curved shows there's not enough polygons available for the character in that graphics engine. It isn't like that in Gears of War 3 where the female characters have nicely curved faces. This can also be applied to hair seen on characters, which is why it is much more noticeable when looking at a female. In Uncharted 3 the female villain looks like she has about four or five patches of texture-mapped polygon hair, similar to a low-polygon PS2 game. These patches of hair are clumped together in a triangular way that doesn't look realistic compared to the men in Uncharted. In Gears of War 3 the females have nicely designed hair that curves and runs smoothly, even blowing in the wind while fighting during thunderstorms! Enjoy your linear, scripted and mediocre multi-player game with no co-op...casharmy

Man you were doing good until you got the graphics part and tried to downplay Uncharted 3 with rediclious nitpicks when both games could be criticized tit for tat.

You just focused on everything you thought was good for Gears and tried to criticize anything you could think of for Uncharted bad move, at that point you just appeared to be a fanboy. Next time be a little more objective if you want others to respect your views.

I only state what's true. But I believe I was a bit harsh, the graphical detail differences will be hardly noticeable. It's just which provides more visual details. Uncharted 3 has always been good in that criteria. But that's because its campaign can be so damn linear and scripted some times it's not even funny.
