Nice and informative video. Would have liked to see mention of the GameGear and other portable titles, as those are just as much as part of the history of Sonic as anything else, but other than that, not bad!
Sweet! Now the real question, Do I get the console version, or the console version AND the 3DS version? Also, I hope this game does really well. It's pretty much the only modern RPG series that remembers its roots.
Sega Genesises (Genesis's? Genesi?) are still pretty cheap and easy to find, as are a lot of the games. Nothing beats the original hardware.
Also, a nitpick: The Mortal Kombat games aren't included on the Sega Games list because they aren't Sega games. Sure, they were on the Sega Genesis, but they weren't made by Sega. I know, who really cares, but still.
Both companies have had these things for years now. These are just new ones to capitalize on the NES Classic and SNES Classic craze. And from what I hear, they aren't that great either. But from what I understand, the Genesis one will let you play actual Genesis carts, so maybe they actually put some effort into this version.
Interesting. I think the current console market needs a shakeup. It's been the same 3 companies for a long time now. Hoping this does something interesting and isn't DOA.
