Why do people omit to mention all the videogame sites and mags when talking about "the press"? Aren't they the ones who will be doing the most reporting?

The press itself at E3 is vastly made up of hardcore gamers.

Becasuse those magazzines will come out every month and core gamers will read it every month, the other "nongamer" media gives more space to videogames just because its E3, and core gamers looking for e3 news wont look at nbc, casuals will.

Are you kidding?? of course the casuals, E3 is when all the major networks, newspapers and magazzines dedicate some space to videogames, so yea, of course the casuals, i tought it was pretty obvious

Considering how well the first Resistance and Motorstorm did, selling well over 3 million units each, it's a sure bet these sequels will sell just as much if not more. However Xbox 360 owners maybe asking what is in store for us besides Gears of War 2 in November?
With all the buzz and hype surrounding PS3's line up, will there be a killer sleeper game that's multiplatform?

Is this a joke?? if XBOX 360 just has 4 good multiplatforms, so does the PS3, thats why they are multiplatforms, unless the ps3 has some good games that are coming out just for ps3 and pc, which I doubt

The Wii has a really great line up games, but I can't help but feel bad for gamers who only own a Wii. They are missing out on great titles such as Soul Calibur 4, GTA IV, MGS 4, Gears of war 2, Resistance 2, Killzone 2, Bioshock 2 and LBP.

To the Wii owners out there, be honest and tell us, are you even a bit dissapointed that most of your hyped games have already come out and there is little to look forward to now? :/

That's not to say that theres no great games out for the Wii right now. Brawl, SMG, NMH, Zelda: TP and Mario Kart are all superb and very fun to play, but personally I feel that these titles won't be enough to satisfy the average gamer for the months to come.

How do others feel about this?

Well man, what you said applies to any platform, there are a lot of great games you are gonna miss if you just have one platform, be it 360, ps3, wii or pc

The collective IQ of this place drops every time someone even suggests that companies are intentionally causing shortages. Unfortunately, as people get dumber from listening to the people who made that suggestion, they start to make that same suggestion themselves. It's a terrible, terrible cycle.

If what you are saying is true, then Microsoft and Sony are the dumbest companies ever for not doing the same.

People dont want to search for something for months. If you dont find something you want, at some point you are going to stop caring and spent your money on something else. The shortages are hurting Nintendo not helping them.

Is that hard to figure out that Nintendo is producing every month more Wiis that Microsoft 360s and Sony PS3s combined?? And thats not even counting DS.

This was on Ellen, she gave Wii consoles & Wii Fit to every member of her audience!. Look how excited these non gaming women get at the sight of a Wii, it's their console, not ours. Nintendo has betrayed us. I bought a Wii, but I will be selling it as two games a year aimed at hardcore Nintendo fans is not enough for me. You can have all the soccer moms in the world Nintendo, just don't expect your real fans to stick around to see you slap them in the face.

Maybe next gen you will remember who got you to where you are today.

I kinda do, i dont know if im a sheep but I really like Nintendo and I feel a little bit betrayed by the Wii. Especially when their two biggest franchises, at least the ones that sold more on the gamecube, mario kart and smash bros, are better without motion controlers. I mean, no significant graphics improvement and no controller improvement at all on those franchises?? Thats not good. Also, yes, the controls of Mario and Zelda are better on the Wii, but not better enough to justify a minimal improvement in everything else. Dont get me wrong, i really enjoyed Galaxy, Prime 3, Brawl, Mario Kart Wii, etc. but the more i think about it, the more im convinced they would have been better with standard controller and more powerfull hardware ala 360 or PS3.

Hopefully Nintendo will turn this around and make the experience with motion controllers significantly better than with standard controllers, the wii hasnt been out for very long, so maybe everyone is just starting to undestand the wiimote, the same happened with the DS. We will have to wait and see.

Look, the X360 is around 19 million, and the PS3 is around 13 million. You see the gap?

That's the gap created by the UK, the US and Australia.

Its more like the gap created by a one year head start, and by the way, the gap is getting smaller every month
