My favourite is how TC admits to not reading the forums first, and then demands a refund.
It's your own fault for not researching the game further.

I am going to disagree. MS isn't competitive because Sony released the PS3 at an insane price. They are competitive because they are a monopoly and use the massive profits of their monopoly to unfairly leverage themselves in other markets. If the Xbox was released by any other company ON EARTH, there probably never would have been a 360 because the massive losses and lack of market saturation the product saw would have been reason enough to kill it. However, MS had so much money they had no problem throwing it all into a hole and forgetting about it. Instead they threw even MORE money at the project, more money buying up exclusives, exclusive content, multiplats, companies, etc. Now the 360 is finally making money and MS has a bunch of games and game companies to appeal to the market. But they didn't get here buy being "competitive", unless you consider buying yor way into a market as being "competitive." I personally wouldn't.
However, NOW they are legitimately competitivebecause they offer a product and games that a lot of people want at a price that is acceptable to the mass market.
Having said all that, I have to wonder something. Even though MS is making a profit NOW, I wonder if their current profit makes up, or even comes close to, the countless billions they lost up to this point.

I gotta love how you totally neglect that Sony is not just a console company. They have been around a long time as well, and make a ton of money in other markets, then use it for the PlayStation. They both do exactly the same thing.
Gaming is one industry that has no seen a significant increase in price over the last 20+ years.
Games actually used to be more expensive at times for certain consoles. Watch the Top 25 consoles of all times videos at IGN...some consoles in the 70's and 80's even cost $800, with games costing $100.
I wouldn't say hate, but it's definitely not my thing. I had a wii for about 3 months, then sold it because there were really no good games and the whole motion control seemed so gimmicky. I'd rather use a standard controller to play games.
I now own both a 360 and ps3.
Yes it will work for GH5. It will be labelled as World Tour since the DLC came out for World Tour.
I just saw that deal at best buy online...it's a pretty sweet deal.
$299 is great for an elite, but without wi-fi, they don't entirely compete. Good move for MS to bundle the wireless adapter.
It has been proven time and time again that any game that is on both consoles looks better on the 360.
PS3 exclusives look better than 360 exclusives though. If you have both consoles, and xbox live gold membership, I would say get it on the 360 for the better online play, and the graphics will most likely be better. (If that even matters to you)
I think that both systems price drops gives the perfect opportunity to buy the "opposing" console.
I own a 360 currently as it is my console of choice. However with the release of the ps3 slim I am very tempted to get one for the blu-ray and the ps3 exclusives that I want to play.
Im sure there are ps3 owners in the same boat, who maybe always wanted a 360 for certain exclusives and now that they are going to be cheaper, may be picking one up for the games.
[QUOTE="HaloIs4Nerds"]Get a Ps3 instead. It's better and will never get RROD like the 360 does.. 360 has a 54% failure rate. chex81
hahaha....fair enough...i just wish the PS3 has a controller that actually felt comfortable. I think thats the only thing only be back from the PS3...i had a launch one and sold it a couple of months ago because of that.
As for the 360, im glad I read this thread. My basement recently flooded, which included my 360...thankfully I was able to save my HDD (120GB), but the powercable and everything else was soaked. I may need to pick up a new 360, so i'll wait for this Elite price drop.
Why wouldn't MS just sell the Arcade for $150 instead of discotinuing it?...they would get tons of sales from that...
If you still have your 120GB HDD, then just go buy an arcade for $199 and save yourself the $100 more for the elite (unless you really want it for the colour) The arcade is not being discontinued, the pro version is.You do realize that Bioshock 2 will have MP...Im kinda sick of online gaming...I'm sick of people writing off games as being bad because of a lacking or non-existant multiplayer mode, for example could you imagine how popular a game like Bioshock or Mass Effect would be if it had an online MP ? They would possibly be the best available games on the market lol.:P
