The only thing I can say that really ticked me off was having to travel such long distances to get to where I needed to go. It just became tedious and it wasn't just a occasional occurrence , I'd be doing this on a regular basis. Even so, I found the rest of the game enjoyable.
A mainstream magazine giving an incredibly popular game a best ending award? I'm not at all surprised The record was determined from the votes of "13,519 fans of gaming". You can guess the tastes and age groups of those gamers quite easily methinks.
Besides a few games I bought hella cheaply on Steam during sales (less than 20 bucks) the only game I have yet to get around to is Deus Ex. Its been sitting in front of my TV for quite some time now, just can't find the motivation to give it a proper play through.
Never been scared by a game, the only time I can say I have been disturbed by a game was during a mission in Fallout 3. There is a quest where you investigate a supposedly "perfect" family after an old man claims they are insane. You meet the family and they give off a very creepy and an "all too nice" vibe but the kicker came when you open their basement and find
Dead, torn up bodies F*CKING EVERYWHERE
and the food they have been trying to feed you is
F*CKING people
Opening up that basement door to see that sight was pretty disturbing and the lack of music just added to the killer mood.
