If when you say on the way you mean next gen and probably not even early next gen then yeah elder scrolls 6 is "on the way". Starfield is coming first which is also next gen so that means tes6 will probably be 2-3 years into next gen . I'm actually far more excited for starfield than scrolls. I love sci fi and am pretty much sick of fantasy settings in rpg's. I thought the Witcher 3 was boring as f but couldn't be more excited for Cyberpunk. It's probably the most interesting thing at E3 this year which says a lot considering how many great games were shown.
@livedreamplay: and they'll do it too until that plan starts to backfire on them. Sony always gets over confident and lazy when they have a big lead. If there was only one console PlayStation would be the worst choice as Sony would just bend it's customers over without the courtesy of lube. Thus year's E3 was proof of their over confidence of their exclusives. Yeah some are good but you can't tell me it was a good show. It was embarrassing.
@playstationzone: Xbox will wait to go 2nd again with more powerful hardware you can bet on it. There's zero chance they'll go first unless Sony waits like 5 years which won't happen.
@playstationzone: Sony is the one that copies. Trophies ring a bell? It's not like a new Xbox wouldnt be coming anyway. They just put themselves in the position to go 2nd and maintain power superiority which is really their only move for the moment since it's going to be years before they get many more exclusives. I wouldn't call that copying , maybe 1 upping
Say what you will about Xbox not having big exclusives but Sony got mopped up this year from a purely entertainment standpoint. in all reality Xbox had more new exclusives this year than ps did. They pretty much had the same 4 as last year with a couple new ones. Aside from that I got way more out of the Xbox conference. It was so much more exciting. Aside from the last of lesbians 2 Sony's was really boring and I even like PlayStation.
I have zero complaint about the first person view and although third person usually gives a more rpg feel having this first person gives me hope the combat won't be clunky like most action RPGs are. I just don't think you can do guns well in third person. Regardless of my opinion the devs know what they're trying to make. If thay just shoehorned tp view in there it could throw a lot of other stuff off. It doesnt take many wrong decisions to make a game turn shit
@PrpleTrtleBuBum: this is the exact reason I've been saying they have a lot too live up to and a huge task on their hands. Adding a third demension of gameplay area i.e. up into the buildings multiplies the work they need to do by many times over which is why it's literally never been done before. Either way I have a feeling I'm going to love it. Cry babies will still buy it guaranteed just like the people who say they hate fallout 4 and Bethesda will still buy fallout 76, starfield and elder scrolls 6.
Why does it matter if it's first person? I think it looks incredible, probably the most impressive thing I saw from E3 based on the trailer. I love sci fi and I've been waiting my entire gaming life for an open world sci fi future city to explore which has never really happened unless you count Deus ex which isn't very open or explorable or crackdown which isn't either. By the way I thought the Witcher 3 was boring as f in long stretches but this is right up my alley. Don't care if it's not third person, its really stupid reason to complain that you can't see your character
