A good DLP is better for gaming but remember to grab some proper curtains and projector screen, regular ones won't do. Multiple monitors are better for work, espescially programming.markop2003
I disagree. Gaming with 3 screens is unlike anything else. I use my 46in sharp sometimes but its just not as intense as having my surround.

[QUOTE="JigglyWiggly_"][QUOTE="Luminouslight"][QUOTE="JigglyWiggly_"] I have stopped that a long time ago :D

Maybe I someone should try to create a thread that lists part recommendations so we don't get this ridiculous amount of posts littering the forum. I may considering starting such a project this weekend.

There are plenty of those types of things on the web, but people prefer to get a human to help.. .which makes sense, but is rather anoyying.

I second that. The amount of posts on this subject is somewhat rediculous. There are plenty of first hand reviews on Newegg.com and other sites about specific hardware and software. zbdyx this is i no way directed at you, your rig took a lot of thought and time, but I think a lot of other people post threads like this so that they can just have someone else do all the searching for them.

[QUOTE="S2333"]I am not sure if this is the right forum but I want to ask this question. I want to know what other internet plans round the world are like. Mine is an ADSL 2+ Plan with 10GB Peak (12pm - 2am) and 25 GB Off Peak (2am - 12pm). If you go over either of your download limits you get shaped down to dial up speeds. So what is everyone elses plans like?

Mine is through Comcast. Even though Comcast sucks we don't have anything like your download limits. I downloaded something like 300gb last month with nothing to show. My down speed is a consistent 7mb while my up is 2mb.

a combination of these two above. what do you guys say?

I know they aren't that good but I don't have money for others.

So for their price, any MAJOR disadvantages??

thanks

I personally love my Logitech G5. I also dont need a mouse pad. It picks up on most surfaces except glass and high gloss.

Holy Hell! That is a ridiculous build. If you buy from and computer manufacturer you are going to pay a substantial markup. The benifit of of buying from a company like Alienware is the warranty. Alienware's warranty is one of the if not the best in the market. Saying all of this you could save a lot of money by building the computer yourself. But, than again, that's a lot of money in a rig without a warranty. If you can afford 10k I think you can afford to get it from Alienware.

Network Access Manager has nothing to do with hardware. You can treat is like a IE toolbar or FireFox plug-in or something. I can make one myself if I want to. Just like those photo things comes with digital cameras, complete garbage and unnecessary. XP already can already read/copy the photos and do whatever you need without extra crapwares. More software installed = more baggage to deal with.magicalclick
This isn't necessarily a just a hardware issue. Network instability can be caused by a whole range of things. Just trying to give him things to attempt to do to fix the problem.
