[QUOTE="C2C_Moltar"][QUOTE="EarnMyRespect"]So an ATI on a sli mobo is.. good.. bad?.. Doesn't matter?EarnMyRespect
Well, if you get and SLI motherboard really the only downside is that you will not be able to run Crossfire unless you hack it and that is a pain in the a**.

Well that is a given. Oh well, Im still undecided...

One downside that I should have mentioned in regards to ATI cards is that in a number of games they run like dogs. nVidia's cards have a much larger range of supported games that run properly. So, in saying that, it might not be a bad idea to get an nVidia card because one, its more supported, and two, your board will be able to run SLI. Try this card from nVidia card as a substitue for what I recommended earlier.

you could always try formating it using a Linux boot disk. Linux tends to recognize more hard drives than Windows. I've had to do it myself a couple of times.

So Im not too sure on the whole motherboard gpu configuration and all, but I have some questions.. Im getting the EVGA X58 SLI LE Motherboard and was looking to get a geforce card.. But some people have suggested the radeon 4780. Ati plus a sli motherboard? Good? Bad?... I mean, Im not too sure.. My price range is up to 250. I need an alright card, nothing amazing. What would be the best bet? Oh and CPU is i7 920EarnMyRespect

Forget the 4780. If your price range it 250 bucks I would splurge 10 extra and get this bad boy, 5850.

depends, it would help if we knew if you are talking about a pre built system such as a laptop or a home built rig.

First off what is the model and spces of your laptop? Aside from that, to answer your las questions, Crysis is awsome. The story line is good and the game play is intense. Definitly a great game.

The other thing that it could be is an over stress on the HD. When you are installing the game are you installing it to the same HD as movie?

I had a similar problem to this. I was downloading music and saving it to one of my HD and, at the same time, listening to music located on the same drive. I came to the conclusion that some drives have issues reading and writting information simultaneously.

I am running the new drivers and have been for the pas couple of days. They seem to be very stable. I havnt had any issues yet, no BSOD or any other erros. I also noticed a very slight fps increase with games like Batman AA.
