@pongley Halo is one of the best examples for this. Those weapons are rubbish even for today's standards lol. I especially hate those f*ckin sh*tty worthless shotguns in today's futuristic games. Titanfall is another example. So its the future where giant mechs with the dexterity of a human body exist. And what awesome futuristic weapons do they use? ... Just mech sized assault rifles and shotguns.... I mean, how come the devs are so f*cking unimaginative and uninspired?! The first Mass Effect game was goin somewhere with the "tech that uses unlimited energy in forms of ammunition", and the limit is heat. Then it all turned to trash.
