GoW graphics are not that detailed anyway, so why would you want to put up with the jags over a smoothed out image.. It actually looks better without the jags.. Kratos looks like pixel dude with jaggs.. Have you tried playing GTA SA without the upscaling+smoothing, you can't even see carl johnsons face cause it's a jagged mess.
The only way to end the war within yourself, is to leave system wars altogether and never come back..then you will become a better gamer and less of a fanboy hopefully. You will probably start to like more games aswell instead of generic shooters all the time.
It's only normal you get bored of those games so quickly... They all fall into the generic shooter catagory or been there done that.. both PS3 and 360 are lacking in the game department still.. they obviously need more time. Thats what I hate about this gen though, the games take so long to release just for some generic 10 hour game with better graphics.. No wonder I find myself playing backwards compatibility games so much.
I'd honestly wait for the good games to start coming out... Resistance and Motorstorm have kept me occupied for a while... but obviously I've gotten bored of them.. I mostly use my PS3 for PS1 / PS2 games now, just waiting on Ninja Gaiden sigma, Lair, drakes, and warhawk... but if you have a large selection of PS1 / 2 games, I'd get one just for the upscaling lol.. The games have never looked this good when playing them on HDTV.
I've been playing it up to the point where you have to make the fire in the ruins... haven't noticed any major issues or anything.. just a minor sound issue when the command menu pops up at the start of a fight and when you're selecting commands.. but it's nothing a annoying.. just sounds different.. other than that everything seems to be working perfectly.. Ofcourse it might just suddenly decide to stop working right in the middle of the game.. Like with Kingdom Hearts 2 when getting up to a certain boss battle, it wont let you take any health off it, therefore can't go any further into the game and KH2 is put down as no known issues on that BC euro site :|
All my PAL games have upscaled to 1080i without a problem... but some of the games are kinda bugged and wont let me get past certain parts of the game.. Like KH2 for instance. I haven't tried FFX.. I'm looking at the intro right now, looks like it's upscaled properly with no jags or anythin.
