The article doesn't seem to actually be saying very much to me. The most interesting thing was Sony developing a system of decreasing fees for companies as an incentive in a sort of loyalty system. Also, I can't believe I read that "scratched disks in America? No problem. But it's different in Japan. They have a resale market." What ... What ... What? Perhaps it isn't that MS was just fighting an unwinnable battle in Japan. Perhaps its morseo that they were high off of a battle they couldn't lose in the US.

I'm so confused by Vagrant Story. I restarted now that I thought I knew how weapons worked. So I try using a weapon good against dragons against dragons. Except my best weapon against dragons actually isn't good against dragons. Wtf is this nonsense? I'm beginning to think the game just has a poorly designed, unecessarily cumbersome system.

Kind of going off of nothing but experience on rpgs since I never played that game, but is the damage on the wep low? Sometimes those stronger weps versus something have low damage in general so they are not really that useful anyways. I also notice that because it normally doesn't tell you how much stronger each hit is, you should just get a higher attack wep most of the time since it normally does just as well since it normally only factors its damage and not any special effects.

Or it could be another thing like your level or something. Sry just kind of blowing out thoughts.

Oh you got in before my 2nd edit lol.

All of the weapons are roughly the same in power in the early game, I think. Around 10-15 attack power. There is also no traditional level system in Vagrant Storyl you don't level up ... although you can sort of level weapons up. In different ways ... They're supposed to become stronger by using them.

The most important thing seems to be using certain weapons against certain creatures. But when you use something on one creature, it drops for another creature (i was misinformed on what dropped). But regardless ... one of my weapons with the  best dragon stat early in the game ... does a projected 0 damage against the first dragon type enemies lol.

I wonder how many JRPGs will be made for PS4 outside of Final Fantasy and Tales. Perhaps nothing?

Samus3D

I can't imagine the PS4 being a big hit in Japan. Less sales in that country means less japanese support. With Mario, Monster Hunter, and Dragon Quest all exclusive it's a great start for future japanese support. That's why the 3DS is getting all these JRPG's up the ass.

Wow, Nintendo managed to snag Mario? I guess it's all over for Sony now.

It's hilarious that Tales got docked for being too difficult. I guess if it had autobattle (ala FF13) and a 25 hour tutorial it would have been simplified enough for GS' reviewers

FFXIII is more difficult than Xillia.

As someone who has played 4 chapters of FF13 (MS really ruined it) I can safely say it's not.

4 chapters of FFXIII? That's it? Lol. The 1st two chapters of FFXIII aren't even the actual game. I happen to have beat both games, Xillia on hard. FFXIII was more challenging than Xillia on hard. About to go back for Very Hard next time.

PS2 games often featured better looking models for real time cutscenes. That it should occur this gen as well should be no surprise.

[QUOTE="charizard1605"]Considering every single Monster Hunter game has been localized so far, and that they all sell well, and that Nintendo handles distribution and marketing in the west, meaning Capcom literally has to pay nothing... Why wouldn't they localize it?charizard1605

Not every MH game has come over, but yeah MH4 still has a chance of coming over.

The only one that did not come over was Portable 3rd, which I want to remind you Capcom still did want to bring over, and had completely localized, but SCEA would not allow for them to port a PSP game to the PS3 wholesale and without any improvements and enhancements. That was why they could not get it published in the US, because they didn't want to bring it over on PSP, which was dead here, and Sony wouldn't let them bring it over on PS3.

SCEA is so stupid with this BS.

[QUOTE="Arach666"][QUOTE="CLOUDsea"]I still need to replay Demon's Souls before Dark Souls.Arach666

I´ve actually been playing it recently, giving it a serious go this time lol,I´m enjoying it way more than I did the first time, gonna end up buying Dark Souls on the next sale for sure.

Losing out on my last save was one of the downfalls of changing my account. I started playing around halloween, which meant the game was full of black phantoms that I was too underpowered to fight ... but I did, because I couldn't really progress much without doing so. I beat Miranda and what's his face ... Satsuki (who could 1HKO me and has a habit of running away to heal). But I beat them both and I was so proud.

Btw, Arach, if you haven't noticed I'm playing Fallout. : )

I assume I´m still pretty early on,I haven´t even encountered those two you mentioned, the ones I´ve beaten so far were Phalanx,Armor Spider,Dragon God,Flamelurker,Penetrator,Adjudicator and the Tower Knight,so far all fairly easy surprisingly, but for the most part I´ve been just wandering around all the areas exploring and farming a bit.

Why did you changed accounts tho?

I hadn´t noticed but that´s great,Fallout is pretty sweet,though Fallout 2 is much better. :P

I thought I responded to this. Huh.

The Dark Phantoms appear when the world tendency is dark. It was dark due to a halloween event, so the storms area was blocked by a dark phantom at the very start. Satsuki. Then Miranda is off to the side in the very first area. She's hard, but not too hard. All fairly easy huh? Demon's Souls isn't that "hard" if you build up equipment and stuff. Or if you're actually skilled at videogames. I really like the combat. I'd rather see something designed like Demon's Souls for combat than motion for future Zelda games.

Cuz I hated my name after a while.

Well I'm probably not going to play future ones, so I might as well play both. Besides, I like this one. It's surprisingly creepy, tbh. I'm genuinely concerned about what's out there on all those black tiles (although at this point I think I only have one area left on my list). On my way tot the Glow!
