I can play NES and Atari games on my HDTV, there shouldn't be any reason I can't play PS1 games on it.  There must be a way to fix this.  Anyone?

Okay, so I want to play MGS (the first one) on my PS2.  PS2 usually has no backwards compatibility problems, except when I stuck it in, the image splits in half vertically (like co-op split screen.)  I'm playing the game on a widescreen HDTV and the PS2 has RGB cables, I think one of these might be causing the issue.  Any ideas?  Does anybody else have this problem?

This sentance(s?) makes absolutely no sense.  Maybe if you rephrased it in english, I would understand.

No, I've been playing tons of SSBM lately without any problems whatsoever.  Either the laser in the Wii is scratched or dusty (doubtful), or your disc is scratched or smudged (much more likely).  Try cleaning the disc with a good cloth and liquid, then try it.  If the problem persists, try cleaning the laser, but do so very carefully.  You don't want every game unplayable.

I don't believe they've actually announced anything, so saying you use the wiimote NES style is pure speculation, a good guess though.  Unless you've heard something I haven't?  Awesome dream theater avatar by the way, that album is awesome.

I hope this game doesn't overdo the motion sensing capabilities of the wiimote, I guess I'm still hoping for more of an RPG.

I don't want to think about what might happen to me if I didn't buy this game, I cannot wait.  It's going to be incredible.

What was it changed to?  thegame27_basic

You win "Laziest Person Ever" award for being too lazy to point your mouse up a couple of inches and just typing in Prince of Persia into the search bar.  It was renamed Prince of Persia: Rival Swords.

I don't understand why people get so upset over review scores, especially when it's a good score.  The same thing happened with Twilight Princess and did it really hurt the games sales or how much you enjoyed it?  If you think Motorstorm is the best game ever, go buy it.  Two numbers and a decimal point isn't stopping you.  Especially not a 7.9, which I'll remind you in case you've forgotten (a few of you obviously have) is a GOOD SCORE.

The saddest part is that you're all defending a game that you haven't played yet.  Yes, you've all played the demo, but the person who reviewed Motorstorm played the full version.  Maybe you should hold off your criticism until after you've done the same.  Or better yet, just write your own review.
