It wasn't until April 2007 that the team debuted in TNA, where hence they had been singles X Division wrestlers. After squaring off against each other in an Xscape match at the annual Lockdown pay-per-view they became regulars in the tag team division, first using the Murder City name, before it was switched to Motor City. The change seemed to be against their wishes, with Shelley stating that "Murder City" was the real name, and "Motor City" was the PG version.

I also remember Sabin talking about this with J.B on one of those interviews as well. I'll have to dig for it.

Nobody is gonna comment :(

I didn't comment because you're exactly right and have nothing further to add. :)

As for Trips being referred to as "Hunter" it seems you have to have been in a stable to be able to call him Hunter. For instance the only people who are on a first name basis on TV with HHH are Shawn Michaels and Batista for some reason. I remember a promo from the HHH/Batista feud where Trips would call Batista "Dave" and Batista would call HHH "Hunter." :|

If I remember right (and I might be wrong on my timing) but around the same time the Murder City Guns were teaming up on TNA TV, they were going to have a Bound for Glory in Detroit. So my guess is that they didn't want to go to Detroit and basically say "Haha! Your city has the highest Homicide rate in America!" So they probably just thought it would be distateful. I mean they have a game character called Suicide and wrestlers called Homicide and Mr. Killer-spelled-backwards, so I doubt TNA cares about naming characters after death unless they really feel that they're going to lose fans.
I guess it's safe to say he'll last longer than good ol' David Flair.....maybe. :PThe_Dude14

When the hell was David Flair in the WWE? Beyond, ya know, getting jumped by The Undertaker. :?

To my knowledge, that is the only time he was in the WWE. I don't think he was around long enough to get a better tron vid than that. Which is probably a good thing since people still remembered him from his "WCW run." Ugh!

That's the thing though. David Flair was still around in WCW for quite a while.

I always thought that was funny that just because his last name was Flair, he lasted around I think 2 years a a WCW wrestler. It was all bad TV as I'm pretty sure he was a member of an nWo, had sex in a storyline with both Stacy Keibler and Daphne and was later supposed to be in an angle that after he married Stacy it was supposed to be revealed that Stacy was the missing Flair sibbling. Luckily WCW folded before we got to see that one.

Hopefully they will just scrap the idea and bring back Kaz as well...Kaz. Nothing good can come from that Suicide storyline.

I wonder what he did? It's probably either he did a line of coke in front of Vince or threw a flower pot at his wife to get released that quickly.
I read the Impact spoilers for this week and it looks like Rock n Rave are going to be on the Xplosion show. SO unless Lance Hoyt did all of the work, maybe Rave isn't seriously injured.
Edited by Link256: When talking about SPOILERS, use the SPOILER tags.

Edited by CWood: I don't see how posting a wrestler competing on a syndicated show that hardly anyone gets is a spoiler when I didn't even say who they were fighting or who won, but whatever.

Pretty fun PPV to go to. The crowd was pretty alive all night except after Monster's Ball most people seemed wore out from cheering until the main event. The venue was of course small, much smaller than I thought it would be since it seems like my seat was ridiculously close to the ring. One funny thing is that I read in the results that there were backstage segments with Mick Foley in which the live crowd didn't see. I guess they didn't want to ruin Foley's pop when he came out for Angle/Jarrett. Best chant from my section was probably a "Super Shredder" chant when Kevin Nash came out since he played that character a long time ago in the second Ninja Turtles movie.

Predicted winners are highlighted:

World Heavyweight Championship - Ladder Match
Chris Jericho vs. Shawn Michaels

ECW Championship
Matt Hardy vs. Mark Henry

#1 Contendership for the World Heavyweight Championship
Batista vs. JBL

Big Show vs. Undertaker

WWE Women's Championship
Beth Phoenix vs. Candice Michelle

Hot Tags. I hate a lot of tag matches because of this. I know its to build up to a big pop when your fav face gets taged into the match to take out both heels, but it iritates me to no end at times. Also, I hate when a hot tag happens when the face has to kill both heels, its just stupid that "tired heel" recovers miraculusly just to get beat down every time.
