Hey i own a 2900 XT & i have crossfire ready motherboard but i can not afford to buy a second 2900 Xt so i'm thinking to buy a 2600 XT .... can i combine2 different graphic cards ? PLS i needa corect an profesional answer because i want to know for sure THX !:oops:beckoflight

if you use that configuration your cards will only go as fast as the slowest card. in this case the 2600. so you'd be wasting money if you didnt buy the same GPU.

It all depends what standard your wireless card is. If your planning on gaming you might want to try an N card. but then you'll have to buy an N router as well. There are some fast G cards out there as well. the only thing i have against a wireless PCI card is that it sticks out the back of your case. if the router is the opposite way, you'll get interference off your case and most likely a weaker signal.

have you tried going to last known goodconfiguration? which is on the same screen as safe mode selection ie Press F8 at boot

Feran

its probably most definitely a hardware issue. try this, take everything out of the PC you dont need. leave in one stick of RAM your video card and your CPU. try and boot then, if it works then swap the RAM, if that works then keep going until you either you find out which hardware is causing it or find out that its not hardware.

you may not be screwed. on the exe used to install the game, right click it and hit properties. go to the compatibility tab and check the box that says "run this in compatibility mode". then select windows xp service pack 2.

I suggest you upgrade "smarter". Everyone likes to bash PC Gaming because of how much $$ upgrades costs you, when actually PC Gaming is probably cheaper in the end. Games are cheaper, online is generally free, etc. You don't need cutting egde specs to stay in the loop of current gen games either. Also, with games like Assasin's Creed, Bioshock, Gears of War, HL2:Orange Box, Enemy TerritoryQuake Wars; all of which are going to be available(Gears is already) on both 360 and PC, you're not going to be missing out on things to play. I say stick with it man! xcryonicx

Agreed. most people think they need to buy the most expensive equipment to get a good experience on the PC. thats not the case by a longshot. you can buy all your stuff mid-range and still have an awesome time playing your PC.
