I'm happy without it. God and religion are slave masters, fooling believers into a nonexistant afterlife so that people won't live their real lives to the way they want to live it.

Its really sad.I look at my grandmother and think, what a life wasted in ignorance, she cant even put up an intelligent conversation. My moms also brainwashed,my dad more recently. Its really sad,i know life must be tough for them, its tough for me,but i dont go running to some ridiculous religion for reassurance.

hmm..so what exactly do you think will happen to you after you die? re-incarnation is a possibility...or maybe heaven and hell truly does exist...I just hate not knowing what's expecting me for instance

You just die. You no longer exist. that's it.

I highly doubt that...re-incarnation seems much more plausible

So the first ever living organisms to roam the earth, what were they reincarnated from?

Does religion do any good?

Well some people need it for comfort or self-peace; I know people that are like that, and that's fine if they want to live their lives like that. That's about it.

[QUOTE="foxhound_fox"][QUOTE="123625"]MAke a good point about the odds thing but i imagince being the universe's existence out of nothing would be an almost impossibilty. In the End i suppose it all comes down to Faith pure and simple no matter what you beleive in.sSubZerOo

No, it doesn't come down to faith, it comes down to speculation. You can speculate that God created the universe. You can speculate that the universe came from nothing. You can speculate the universe has always existed. Faith is the support you give yourself for those beliefs.

Is not Evolution a speculation of how everything is and has?

No its a conclusion found through logical deduction.. The science community has accepted evolution as fact.. This is not to say that its 100% accurate on every bit and piece, but its widely accepted it has occured.

It's not conclusive nor is it fact. Nothing in science is. It's a theory based on facts and observations like fossil records or drug-resistant bacteria.

What I want to know is if everything started from energy, where did that start from? How did the universe and everything start, from what? A single energy molecule could not just pop out of thin air then expand and eventually cause the big-bang, then the planets, in which we come from molecules and millions of years of evolution. I just don't get it, where did the universe start from?

Note: I don't believe in God.

Taiko88
a point of singularity which contained all the matter and infinite density which under so much pressure collapsed unto itself and then rapidly expanded space-time. (not an explosion) Scientists don't says molecules or atoms popped out of nowhere. Matter cannot be created nor destroyed according to the second law of thermodynamics

[QUOTE="whoody12"]becouse believe killed more human beings than athiest haveblacktorn

We're all all going to die sooner or later, better to die a believer than a non-believer.

Show your gratitude to god for the life he's given you for 100 years and spend eternity in his divine happiness or rebel and succumb to the devils temptations and suffer with him in hell for eternity..the choice is yours...

I'd rather go to hell than worship a megalomaniacal tyrrant
