This game is nowhere near demanding or taxing unles of course you're playing on a pentium 2, or your pda. I honestly don't know why they put this Performance guide together when A. It's not needed B. It's not really complete
'
Hi! Please Healp me! I want to know it before i buy this game!! I Have a Intel Dual Core 2160 1.80Ghz, 1.80Ghz, 1GB RAM, GeForce 7100 512MB PCI Express, And Windows XP. This Game will work with this machine!?
Download the demo and find out.
darkchaostitan
You do understand, that little overclocking warning you posted, is pretty much standard for Intel,Nvidia,Ati,Cyrix,Matrox, etc etc!
They forgot to add one benchmark category, 'Bang for your buck' After comparing both offerings from each company, and it comes down to the 'Bang for your buck' benchmark, I'll take the AMD processor.
Comparing price and performance, it's a pretty clear winner to me. I'll pick up the ATI card, if and when direct X 10, (Wait, they have 10.1 in the wings!) becomes viable.
greystone227 For all of the PC gamers out there who like to bash Halo, why don't you consider this for a second. Halo isn't a PC FPS (except for the ported versions) and shouldn't be rated on PC standards.
How wrong you are, you do understand Halo was originally developed for the Mac and PC release. It garnered so much praise early on, Microsoft scooped up bungie(to the dismay of mac owners everywhere) and pushed them for the Xbox platform. I don't mind people praising their systems, in fact, I find it entertaining......just make sure you have your story correct. As far as comparing it directly to PC FPS games or any other platform for that matter. Why shouldnt it be compared? If you want to gain the support of people who are using other systems, there need to be direct comparisons to what they're currently playing or have available, right?
I have no idea where they're getting their numbers. Personally, I have a X2 3800+ 3 gigs ram 7950 512 meg version and I'm running it at high settings and getting more then acceptable frame rates. Half of these rig comparisons on this site feel a bit more geared towards trying to force people into buying consoles.
