Well, I just returned from a long days work, and I have been reading some of your messages. Most have been supporting of gay marriage, and that is great. Others, however, still don't have the mental capacity yet to understand some of the issues. So, I'll address some of the things that have been brought up in this topic:

Mainly, though, it proves that we have been recognized... we are cared about, and we are official.

"I don't support it because I believe in christianity": Well, that's nice. However, you shouldn't be forcing your religious believes down other's throats. We aren't do that to you. You aren't gay and don't want to be married to a member of the same sex? Great! We are gay and we do want to be married to a member of the same sex!

(Very ridiculous uneducated remark below... you have been warned...)

"Blah blah blah blah gays spread aids and give them to kids... rape will be legal next, right?!": Yeah... Ummm... no. Gays aren't about raping. That is just a horrible Conservative Redneck Christian extreme Conservative hatred stereotype. Some gays are bad and rape people.... some straights are bad and rape people. It works both ways. Also, when people are talking about gays they tend to only think about the sexual aspect, and just completely ignore that gays have actual, real relationships.

So, because people dont like the idea of gay people getting married, they are forcing their beliefs down your throat? BTW, the bible does talk about homosexuality. the book of leviticus says "a manshould not lie with a man as hewould would lie with a woman. that is destestable". also, god gave adam eve as a wife, not steve as a wife.

Yes. It is a very unfortunate part of this great country. For some reason this country stands for equality, freedom of speech, and especially diversity. However, it seems like there are too many Christian religious extremists in our country that contradict the core values of this country. Many don't like diversity. They actually think and want this country to be a white, christian nation.... directly contradicting America's original values.

It upsets me that we can't all just get along. It upsets me that there are people who want to dictate and interfere with other's lives. =/

Hello everyone!

I am new here. First time poster. I came from GameFAQs. I probably won't be going there anymore, so I thought I'd try this. I like the features here so far. They're nice. Anyways--a little bit about myself:

- I am a manager for a retailing company.

- I am very liberal politically. I support gay marriage, affirmative action, welfare, and much much more liberal issues.

- I am a gay male.

Hopefully this will be a neat place. :-)
