Prove that it isn't.

The Wii U can only run a side-scrolling Mario game at 720p, while the PS3 runs a multitude of games at 1080p. Multi-platform games, such as Arkham City and ME3, look worse on the Wii U than on the PS3 and 360.

Comparisons have been done, and the answer is clear. The Wii U is less powerful than last-gen systems created six years ago. And since nobody has answered my original question, I guess this is also the first time that a next-gen console has ended up being weaker than last-gen consoles.

Maybe it takes time for developers to understand the new design of the hardware. Plenty of 720p games look better than 1080p games..people really need to get off this reosultion thing because the argument is pointless.
