discuss

I wish it was more outdoors a la re4 and less in the dark. The CG was alright, but not great by any means for today's standards. Did you guys like the ending?

[QUOTE="HarlockJC"][QUOTE="CasioTeck"] uh two year old fads are nothing. We're talking about a CONSOLE which should have a 10 year lifespan. The wii will die off within 2 years. Once people see what it's all about, they run to ebay to sell them. btw, new ones are going for $299 left and right this year. Last year I sold 4 dozen of them for $480-$520 before xmas on ebay.

Normally there is only a 5 to 6 year gap between Nintendo consoles. So 2 more years added to the Wii would be great for Nintendo because they would be due for the upgrade,

not anymore, the lifecycles are growing larger because gaming consoles are becoming closer and closer to photorealistic. I wouldn't be surprised if the next ps4 or ps5 you wouldn't see upgrades for 10-15 years. The ps2 is going to have a 10 year retail life cycle. the ps1 had only a 6 year lifecycle. they are tryign to push the wii for 10 years. Not going to happen it's too far behind in technology and application.

[QUOTE="killerfist"][QUOTE="Gh0st_Of_0nyx"]The wii feel off this holiday season is what happend. But it still dosent change the fact that it has an amazing array of great titles and a GOTY title (unlike the ps3) Its battleing for 1st software sales and Is going to win the generation with hardwares sales (something the Ps3 dosent have a chance in hell of doing) 09 is going to be MUCH better then this year with titles such as Monster hunters Tri, Punch out, The conduit, Sin & punishment, and Mad world its going to be a amazing year indeed :DGh0st_Of_0nyx
How nice of you to not mention the 360 at all Tells me alot about you

Why would I mention the 360 in a wii oreintated thread :? There is like 1 360 game I want next year and its Halo 3: ODST.

the wii is as useful as my toaster. Oh yeah, GE toasters sell 35 million units each year. I guess that makes it BETTER than the wii! because you know, sales = quality right guy?

yeah I know about motion plus, it's what the ps3 wiimote already comes equipped with. it's what the wiimote should have had in the first place. I didn't even know it wasn't 1:1 until the motion plus was talked about. I just assumed devs didn't use the 1:1 capabilities.

[QUOTE="HarlockJC"][QUOTE="rogelio22"] It's a two year old fad? So when does a fad become main stream because everything I have ever read about fads say they are short term.

[QUOTE="rogelio22"]no wii sells the most because its a fad not a gaming system!!! the reason i bought one was because evrybody was getting one but as a gaming system the ps2 is miles above it!!!HarlockJC

They'll probably be optional especially considering fighting games. But it is fact that companies are seeing the possibilities of it in FPS and the such and are copying it. So for FPS I'll say it probably will be mandatory but for other genre's probably optional. Oh, and RedSteel for the Wii doesn't have 1:1 motion controls. RedSteel 2 will along with online play and voice chat. Yet another innovation that everyone is going to copy from Nintendo but that's a story for another System Wars thread.nini200
what other innovation?
