I kinda wish there was a way to send your friends messages from your friendsl ist maybe something similier to xbox live? that would be really cool lol and i see you to!! we should fight soon but like i said most likely id lose haha

Yeah, I am disappointed that we can not send messages. Its kind of misleading because they say in the friend menu "message" and I though we could but it was just a greeting message. Hah don't worry we will play soon, nah i might lose, i'm kinda bad at fighting games.

Oh wow; it's back! I started this thread, y'know? :)

Yeah, I tried the 3DS at Best Buy and it's almost everything I expected; I can shift either the system or my head side to side, and I see different 'views' of what's going on in the game; different perspectives, with background objects having more 'shift' than objects on the front. What I didn't anticipate seeing was a 'dark spot' while shifting between the images; the screen looks dark, and I couldn't distinguish which of the 2 views was being displayed.

So the two perspectives are there, sure, but the 3D effect can only be 'seen' when you see both perspectives at once, with two working eyes.

Yeah that's exactly what I see too. I have one working eye as well, but I think you will enjoy the 3DS even though you can not fully see the 3D effects.

Honestly the 3DS is great and I do not regret buying it. And like most consoles/handhelds the launch titles aren't the best. We just need to give this baby some more time so that the developers can get used to the new style of the 3DS. The 3DS is not perfect but once we start getting bigger titles then it will be even better. I just kinda feel like the 3DS was kinda rushed because we did not get the internet browser and Nintendo shop channel right at the start. And as for the 3DS backward compatibility, its not the best looking but i think it could be a lot worse. I do not see why people are complaining about the way DS games look, the games look ok and i wouldn't mind playing some DS games on my 3DS when I am lazy not to go all the way in my room to get my DS Lite when my 3DS is right in front of me lol, but hey that's just me.

I also cannot see 3D. I only have one good eye. I have very low eye sight in my right eye and am nearly blind out of it, I also have glaucoma. It is a little disappointing not being about to see the 3D effects on the 3DS. But I am enjoying it even though I can't see 3D. Gaming shouldnt just be about 3D anyway especially for those of us who have one good eye :P. And who brought back this 2010 topic lol.

I have very poor eyesight in my right eye and I am also nearly blind in my right eye and I wear glasses. I can not see the 3D effects, which is a little disappointing.
