Oh please. MGS4 was so good that it transcends time. The only way I can possibly describe it is that almost every day, it's like MGS4 is released for the first time, completely untouched by age, because it's so godly. Therefore, MGS4 is newer and better than the old SMG2, which came out how many WEEKS ago? Ew, talk about old.Master_ShakeXXX
Proof? Haven't seen any re-reviews of Metal Gear Solid 4 with Gamespot still giving it a 10 rating by today's updated standards.

I wonder if all these cows would be praising MGS4 as the second coming of christ if it was a 360 exclusive. It's a good game, but damn, the hyperbole is of the scale. It has numeral faults which prevent it from being a masterpeice.

Metal Gear Solid 4 is the 2nd best game of all time, and is a masterpiece, as shown by its Gamespot review score of 10. Sure, it only got a Metacritic score of 94, but as we all know, Gamespot is infinitely superior to Metacritic - after all, Gamespot is perfect. Think of Grand Theft Auto 4 - Gamespot knew that this game was flawless and therefore gave it a 10.

Hyperbole is allowed when a game is perfect. No amount of praise for it's glorious insane greatness is enough.

Exactly. Metal Gear Solid 4 was, back at its 2008 release, so good that it was almost impossible to describe with words, however now it is of course inferior to Super Mario Galaxy 2 on such a level that it is completely unplayable. Anyone who thinks that any game but Super Mario Galaxy 2 is anything other than an unplayable piece of garbage is delusional.

Perhaps the movements are not as extreme but it still requires motion to work.Zero_epyon
Exactly. The movement of analogue sticks on game controllers are not as extreme but they still require motion to work, so they are also motion controllers.

Well easy there sport, only when we put those games next to MGS4 do they look like such tremendous failuesTehNubTuber
Exactly. Metal Gear Solid 4 makes any game that got less than a 10 look like garbage and feel unplayable. Super Mario Galaxy 2 is the best game of all time and completely annihilates everything else ever released, even Metal Gear Solid 4, because it is the most recent game to get a 10.

PLEASE! Other than graphics, MGS4 owns Crysis in every imaginable category. They shouldn't even be muttered in the same sentence, as Crysis is trash by comparison.

Master_ShakeXXX
Exactly. Only games that get a Gamespot review score of 10 are any good at all. Anything less is unplayable. Crysis only got 9.5 and therefore failed. Halo 3 also got 9.5, and we all know how poor that game is. As for God of War 3, it's a total joke. It's laughable how anyone could think a game with a review score of merely 9 is anything other than a pathetic failure. Demon's Souls also got a 9, which just goes to show how good Gamespot's scoring system is, seeing as that game is a piece of trash.

If you're reffering to me, I'd like to know when did I say "Steam sucks".felipebo
Don't worry I'm not referring to anyone in particular - I'm talking about the hardcore PS3 fanboys.

[QUOTE="CentricStorm"]At this stage it seems unlikely that the PS3 will be able to take over the Xbox 360, however it is still possible. Of course it doesn't matter though - all consoles still won't stand a chance against the PC.racing1750
Aren't we discussing the CONSOLE war :P

I didn't see that in the original post but fair enough I guess.

Maybe everyone should just switch to PC gaming next generation, and the separation of gaming systems should end. That way gaming as a whole would be unrestricted and could move forward.
