@Whitebloodsun @Aninha26 I don't think you need to feel bad about that. Consider though. Would you feel comfortable playing a game in which your character has a massive johnson that is straining at the fabric of his pants and the camera often centers on his crotch as he is fighting or climbing a wall? If that might make you uncomfortable after a few hours of gameplay then that might give a small insight into what some female gamers feel. Not saying you need to change what you like but maybe consider their standpoint.

@gamingqueen @carolynmichelle Bayonetta is an interesting example as her creator made specific choices about her characterization to explore femininity - there is the famous scene in which she gets into a sexy pose-off with a doppleganger about which her creator said "That was my way of expressing the feminine notion that, to one woman, all other women are enemies. Even women walking by each other will check out what the other is wearing, and might smolder a bit with antagonism. Women are scary." Its an interesting artistic choice. Is there a bit of sexism in that statement, possibly and that is worth dialoguing about. Also I just want to point out that Anita is a gamer. I really, really want a Bayonetta sequel by the way

@buccomatic @Cptmcrofl @endorbr At no point does the article suggest that people should feel ashamed and how are we making the conclusion that the depiction of women in video games will harm the nation?

@gamingqueen @carolynmichelle I don't think it makes sense to equate the regulation of visas with fiction. Additionally Anita never discusses any bans or regulations that she would like to see in place. Her focus is on education, thus the talks at Bungie and her video series.

@gamingqueen @carolynmichelle Lawmakers will make laws about the depiction of women in video games if we start thinking critically about the way women are depicted in video games? Is there some kind of precedent for that?

@gamingqueen I'm not picking on you I'm pointing out where you are putting words in Anita's mouth and denying your own arguments.

@gamingqueen At what point did I or anyone in the article for that matter suggest Capcom, Namco, and Nintendo don't have the right to make the games they like?

@gamingqueen So you didn't say that if she doesn't like the depiction of women in video games she needs to go make her own?

@gamingqueen You repeatedly say that actually. If she doesn't like it she should go make her own is sort of a mantra for you.
