Civ IV was the first Civ game I played, it took me a pretty long time to figure out how everything works. But I recommend it.

4890 is faster, but you don't get dx11 (or eyefinity I think)

Also, money is a factor. The build without PSU is about $950, needs to be under $1100 total. Can I pull off the wattage necessary forthecrossfire for that price?

I recently started playing my old n64 again, and I found a third-party controller in perfect condition in my basement. So I decided to ditch the 10-year old stock controller I was using and use it instead.

Now, I vaguely remember there was some reason I never used that controller. I wasn't sure, but I thought the N64 just didn't respond to it, and behaved like there was no controller plugged in, so I thought "What's the worst thing that could happen?" and plugged it in. Then I switched the power on and nothing happened.

I think it's completely dead. There's no power light or anything. I'm positive it was the controller that killed it, because it was running perfectly fine just 10 seconds before I plugged it in. I found a few cases of this type of problem, and some people's n64 started working again the next day, while others' never recovered.

I suspect the PSU or controller port shorted out, I know for sure it is not the memory/booster pack or game pack. Any advice on how to fix it? Or at least an explanation of what causes this? Because nobody seems to have any definitive answer to this problem.
