[QUOTE="Chelsea-Kiwi"]

[QUOTE="Teenaged"]So in the end even if we all had read the Bible in its entirety we would be "accused" that we didnt read it carefully. And if we had then I guess we should read it again. And if we all had read it multiple times then there would be something else we would have to do to make our opinions qualified.

I hope you get my point.

No that is not what I mean. Many people commentating on it just say things that are plain wrong. Those who have read and disagree with it are, in my opinion, wrong but I have no place to say that ones opinion is wrong if I disagree with it.

Look I am not saying that I too wouldnt appreciate it if the criticism for something I cherish and like comes from a person who is fully knowledgable of the sbject at hand but the point is that you cant assume that everyone's opinion on the Bible -who hasnt read it in its entirety- is invalid merely because they havent read it in its entirety.

Yes, you have every right to urge people to read it but its not right imo to say that they dont have the right to comment on it at all unless they have read it in its entirety. Especially when you emphasise on this. In which case it really isnt a given that it makes much of a difference whether one has read parts of it or all of it.

ANd I know thats not what you meant to mean, but thats how it comes off.

Well I do not mind if they don't want to read it but they shouldn't comment on it then.

Also this thread is to do with people saying Christians are crazy (or to that effect) because of the Bible. Not any other source(s).

Please read more carefully! My issue (in this thread) is not whether or not you believe what you read but that you comment on it without reading it.

Yes. We need to better secure the border.Head_of_games
Earths border? I don't think that Aliens just come on down at their freewill. I believe they have been here for a long, long time.

I really don't care to be honest.

Nationalism is stupid. We are all earthlings.

I am also not a "religious nut". I must admit even recently I have doubted my religion and only on December the 24th have come to the correct conclusion on the matter and I am glad I have. But do not perceive me as someone who has no doubt in their mind, I have many times.

Ignorance to the Bible and people who claim to be experts on it yet have read little or none of it. Also people who rubbish religion (Not just Christianity).
