[QUOTE="Chemical_Viking"][QUOTE="BrunoBRS"] the witcher 2, a game developed in eastern europe, on the eastern side of the world, that follows the JRPG archetipe of "linear plot progression, well defined main character with clear motivations and personality", and yet it's a WRPG. it's like everything that isn't japan is the west.BrunoBRS
Witcher is very much an old school WRPG. It's nothing like your average JRPG. At all. If anything its something of an archetype. And at the risk of dragging this up again, you don't understand the east/west thing obviously. It's not a literal line down the world.
yeah i do get it. "east" is the term gamers use to define "japan", and west is the term to "rest of the world". i'm just pointing out how absurdly broken and nonsensical those terms are. It's nothing to do with gamers. It's an ancient term that predates our rediscovery of america by over a millenia. We didn't invent or coin it. It's neither absurdly broken nor nonsensical if you bother reading up about it.
