i've been in that situation before so you could do like i did and get an dvi to hdmi converter to hook you 360 to the monitor and use the av jacks to hook up to a surround sound system

Yeah, I run my 360 into an LCD monitor then use the composite cables to run the sound. My set of Logitech speakers came with an adapter to change the composite sound cable into the 3.5' jacks. The other option is that if you get a monitor with a headphone jack you can run a 3.5 to 3.5 lead into the stereo (though that will only give you 2.1 sound)

The game is called Halo, and Halo is what you get - you can't really be critical of a game that plays like the rest of the series. As for the simplicity, the original halo set the standard for basically every first person shooter in the last decade. As for bad reviews, Halo is about as mainstream as it gets - there are always people who will be looking to criticise such releases just because of the hype and the expectation

To use Kinect with an original 360 you need a power brick for both, whereas a slim already has a port for it
