There are a couple of new Final Fantasys out now, the FFXII on the PS2 and the FFIII remake on the DS. They are quite pricey but they must be quality games because they bear the Final Fantasy name. Yet the I've not been quite fond of the new Square games since they merged to form Square-Enix. But since Gamespot gave a 9 to FFXII and the player revues for FFIII have been good, I am convinced that they are probably worth it.

Rescently, I bought a Nintendo DS. I bought it because I saw all the good games that were on it and those that were upcoming. I had a though choice: DS or DS Lite. But I don't know if I made a good descesion or not. Don't get me wrong, the DS is great, and I really like it! But I don't know if I should have bought the DS Lite insted of the DS. I know that the DS Lite has more battery life and a brighter screen, but does it have any other new features other than that? I'm still debating wether I should spend more money and invest in a new DS Lite. :?

I bought Dragon Quest VIII, and I have to say it is an execellent game! :) The game itself, from Square-Enix or not, is a true masterpiece! The story is indulging, the battle system is good and the music is easy to listen to! The only beef I have with this game is saving. The save points are mostly in towns. If you go trough a long and winding dungeon and you get killed by a boss, you start way back at your last save point with half your gold! :( They should have at least put a save point before the boss. But that aside, it is a great game! I hate to say this, but Square-Enix did something right! :shock:

Ever since Square Soft Became Square Enix, everything went down hill. They took Square Soft's good name and screwed everything up! I mean, look a X-2! What a piece of garbage, they screwed up the whole FF series right there! And then they went and cancelled Chrono Trigger Resurrection (A remake or Chrono Trigger) just because the people who made it "didn't have the right". Instead of sharing the profits with them! There's only thing I give them credit for is FF VII: Advent Children. That's one of the best computer animated movie I saw. But then again, that's just a movie, not a game. They haven't wowed me in the games department yet. FF XII better be a good one or I'm gonna lose all faith in Square.
