Are you saying that you did not plug in the sensor bar that came with the Wii? And You expect the pointer function to work? Wii comes with all the needed cables, maybe you really should take time to read the setup instructions.

yea its the denial it has made me frustrated . alright yea with new technology comes new problems lol. now the question is should i use the disc cleaner i got its a disc with lil brushes on it to clean lenses. if that doesn't work ill give nintendo a call. thanks for everyones help i greatly appreciate it

i have a disc that cleans the lens n stuff should i use it???remington123
Nintendo says dont clean the laser yourself,they will clean for free.

SSBB use a new dual layer disc that is more sensitive to dust and smoke contamination.

I had my Wii since launch day,got SSBB this weekend and after the update its working fine. Maybe you have dust or smoke contamination on the laser lens, Nintendo will clean your lens for free if you do.
