On Nintendo's showing...

...the best they've had in a while :)...

3DS: Looks great and fun to play.

Epic Mickey: Nice to see some footage

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword: If they kink out the controls, it might be the greatest Zelda game ever, and I like how they combine the graphical styles of Wind Waker and Twilight Princess.

Kid Icarus: Uprising: AWESOME!!!! Looks KICK BUTT!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was almost giving up hope of a new KI. Thanks, Sakurai!!!

DKC Returns: Looks fun to play and glad to see Retro get DK....IGN was right

Kirby's Epic Yarn: KIRBY RETURNS!!!! I like how they used the cloth setting in the trailer!!!

Metroid: Other M: Will surely be a great game, but they didn't show much of it...

Wow...Good Job, Nintendo...

My thoughts on Microsoft's show

I'll be doing things about E3 2010 on my blog. I just got done watching Microsoft's presentation and I wanted to spill my thoughts...

Call of Duty: Black Ops: cool

Gears 3: cool

Metal Gear Solid Rising: Hey, this looks interesting!! Kojima was there showing off the game and it looks fun!!

Halo Reach: Nice to see some campain action. Can't wait till fall...

Cytek + Microsoft project: Looks neat

Kinect(?): The games look alright. Some like Adventure and Sports looked fun. That Star Wars game looks kick butt!!! To be honest, I was kind of dissipointed it didn't come to Wii, but you never know ;) Also, when there were showing the launch games, I saw a Sonic game!! ;shock: It was just blank space and a logo, but I want to know what it is!! I've speculated that it might be a Sonic Riders, which is JUST what we need . Decent games with some of the worst recurring characters in the Sonic universe (Nope, it ain't Big). But it could be anything. I'm interested in Kinect in general, I just want to know how much it is.

Harmonix game: cool

ESPN on Live: Cool, if your into that :)

Xbox 360 Redesign: It looks sleek, and 250g and built-in Wi-Fi is awesome, but why does the front look so crooked? I find it funny that they pulled a stunt similar to Sony by releasing it after the announcement. And Microsoft is rich enough to give out free consoles to all the attendees on their conference, if I'm not mistaken. Those guys were lucky :D But I'm satisfied with my fat one...

Nice conference! Not the best, but it was nice to see some cool software

Grade: B

Alright, have a nice E3 and see you tomorrow for Nintendo and Sony(possibly)...

Some Updates and MvC3 YES!!!

Hey! School's Out for Summer!! That rocks! I got about 2 months of goofing off before Band Camp starts up, and E3 is in a week too. I remember last year I had exams during the Nintendo conference, man, I was so mad.

So I picked up Super Mario Galaxy 2 and it's is brillant. Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded and and a Back to the Future game were announced, which is cool. And E3 is next week...so let's talk about Marvel Vs. Capcom....

If you don't know, Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 is one of my all-time most played titles on my 360, I love it. In fact, I downloaded it to prepare myself for Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom, which was great too. So I was suprised to hear that Marvel Vs. Cacom 3 was in the works. Seriously, I haven't been this excited for a fighter since Brawl.

So it's coming for PS3 and 360, should play like Tatsunoko, it has Wolverine, Iron Man, Hulk, Deadpool, Captain American, Ryu, Morrigan, Chris Redfield, Felica, and Dante, and has more characters than what's been revealed so far... This could be the best fighter ever :)

I want some great story and online, less focus on X-Men and Street Fighters, Spider-Man, Thor, Falcon, Ammy, Viewtiful Joe, Rad Spencer, Mega Man, Mike Haggar, Chun-li, and Frank West...

Oh, I want a tag team miniboss of Stan Lee and Keiji Inafune before a big fight with Galactus...

Sounds cool, right? ;)

Looking back....

Today I was looking at some of my blog posts from the past and it got me into a state of thinking. I have matured much and have gotten use to public chatting on the internet since than, but I can believe what I said...

I used to talk about anime. I am done with it now, but with Tatsunoko vs. Capcom exposing me to these greats, I might be tempted to watch. My blog also reminds me of how school has always annoyed me, so the more things change, the more they say the same, I guess. I also was nuts about Fragile....which I still haven't played....

I have evolved since joining GS. I'm now a calmer being than I wasback then. Maybe I was trying to be cool or something, but things have changed...

And in some retrospects, mostly for the better...

Halo Legends DVD Review

With Halo: Reach fastly approching and many Halo fans getting psyched over it, Microsoft and 343 Industries are interested to tide them over with Halo Legends until this fall. Halo Legends is an anthogy of anime segments made from the most talented animation studios from Japan. It consists of seven stories told in eight segments spanning the entire spectrum of the Halo universe with many characters from the games, including Master Chief. If you didn't catch them on Halo Waypoint (which I didn't), you can own it on Blu-Ray and DVD. I picked this up over the weekend and I was impressed with it. The animation was nice, the localization was decent, and it's a very nice collectible for Halo fans like me. And now I shall go through each segment....Oh, and there will be spoilers!!!

Origins is a two-part segement about Cortana and Chief floating through space after Halo 3. Cortana resites the entire origin of the ancient Forerunners and the Flood. She also speaks of the events leading up to the Human-Covenant war. The idea is interesting and the art design is suberb. It also fleshes out Cortana's character. I would say it might hint at Halo 4, but....Naaah, that's too far-fetched....

The Duel is about an unstoppable Arbiter facing the corruption of his leaders. It was based off of a japanese myth about a legendary Samurai. It's 3D, but has a filter that gives it a motion painting vibe. It's not a bad short and has great animation.

Homecoming is about a female Spartan on Reach and her past escape from the SPARTAN program and is drawn in a traditional anime style. This is one of my favorites because it has interesting questions. If their was a clone that was posing as you, would you kill him/her?...

Odd One Out is another favorite of mine and the only story in Legends to be non-canon. It focuses on Spartan 1337-No, I did not make that up!- dealing with a powerful covenant beast with the help of some locals. It has awesome action scenes and a goofy plot, but that's what makes it work. Sometimes you need to take things a little less seriously. Plus, It has Dinosaurs :P!!!!!

Prototype is about a robotic marine in a battlesuit who admires his fallen teammate's dying wish for him to "Be Human." It's a great moral and has nice animation too.

The Babysitter is about a group of ODSTs trying to take down a covenant prophet. A Spartan accompanies them along the way, so the short deals with prejudice. It is another fav of mine and it is a great segment

The Package is about a group of Spartans (Including MC) trying to save a fellow doctor. It has absolutely great action and even has some clever in-jokes towards the games...

Overall, it's a great project. It's well animated and stays true to what makes Halo so enticing. It's nice for getting into anime, but I'm not totally sure you'll like it if you're an anime-junkie. So, thanks for reading my review :) Now, where did I put my Plasma Sword?....

Talking about stuff.....

Sure is cold and snowy here in Ohio. I just wanted to talk about a couple things. I have been job hunting because no one wants ice cream during winter. I have been fruitless. I have been lacking in fruit :( But I have noticed some things....

I started to appericate my 360 a little bit more. When I first got it, I didn't have a goal to play all of the big exclusives yet, but I did. Tried Gears of War, didn't like it. But I did borrow my brother's copy of Fable II and I love it. I was drawn away from it because I thought it would've been more complicated than Fable on Xbox, but I played some of it and it feels just like the first one. I'll pester my bro about it....can't wait for Fable III now :)

Oh, yeah. I found a Sonic comic the other day. Issue 147, I think. I have a comic book store in my town, so I'll see if they have some more. I haven't been there in a while....

If I May Say Something....

With the disaster in Haiti right now, I've been thinking about a few things. Some things about myself and some other people actually. I've never written a blog during something like this, so here goes....

I've been thinking about myself. I could remember way back in elementary school, 9/11 happened. I could remember the news stories, people talking about it, and even my class donated a quilt-blanket to the kids whose parents died that day. But I never could fully comprehend it. I knew that the twin towers were destroyed by two rouge planes, but I couldn't wrap my head around it...

I believe kids have a different outlook on life. I'm in my teens and Haiti has an earthquake. Maybe I understand now. I understand that many people have died, and people from all over the world are helping out. It's just that now I feel I have to do anything I can possibly do to help this. I did do that Halo 3 thing, and it was very nice of Bungie for getting gamers on the help-bandwagon when they could've donated the money themselves. But I feel like I should do one more thing...

I saw on my local news that people were lining up in their cars to help out. Donating money and such....

So, that's what I wanted to talk about. I didn't mean to offend anyone if I did. I'll see you guys later....

Help Haiti by Playing Halo 3 or ODST

For those who don't know, Bungie is going to have donate to the cause in Haiti if you play Halo 3 or ODST. Sorry I don't have a link, but you can check Bungie.net and my facebook page for more info about this.

If you play Halo tomorrow or thrusday (as of 1/19/2010) and wear a red heart as your emblem, Bungie will donate money to Haiti...

Please spread the word and I'll see you online!!!!

What I Played in '09.....

Hey there! Did everyone enjoy their New Year?....

If you don't mind, I'd like to take the time to talk about some games from last year. For the last couple of years it seems, from like 2007 onward, that gaming just keeps on getting better, in a sense. I've seen people comment on recent years and how great they are. 2009 was no exception, so here are the titles that I thought really stood out that were released in 2009....

MadWorld-Wii- I love the art style and the combat can be very fun. It was just a hair too short though, but I loved it, and it put Platinum Games as one of my favorite developers.

Muramasa: The Demon Blade-Wii- Again, love the art style and Vanillaware rocks (can't wait for their next game)! The combat is simple and easy with basically one button. The voice acting is good too, even if it is in japanese.

New Super Mario Bros Wii-Wii- Offically my favorite 2D Mario game. Not too hard, not too easy :P....

Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days-DS- I haven't played a Kingdom Hearts since like-2007 and must say the series made a nice transition from console to handheld, controls, graphics, and all. Also, Yoko Shimoura's music kicks butt. Now Nomura, get working on the 3rd one!!

Batman: Arkham Asylum-360- Greatest Batman game ever. Everything rocks about this game. The story, characters, VOs, gameplay, they're really good. Can't wait for the sequal...

Honorable Metions (Because I'm lazy): Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story and a boy and his blob...

I'm done...Also, if you have a PS3 or 360, download the Bayonetta demo. It's awesome. Hopefully I'll get back to my job (No one wants ice cream in jan.) and buy it!
