a game I played a long time ago on my friend's pc called "man". you could walk and jump and I THINK you could climb ladders....my god...I don't want to think about it.
Mine does the exact same thing and I asked about this on a couple of forums months ago when I first got my console. Everything I've read points to the plastic expanding but I don't think that's the case since the noises happen at the same intervalls until it stops every time. I -personally- believe it's something else than the plastic expanding but I don't know what it is and from reading all posts where people are asking about it I figure it's normal. It happens some minutes after I turn it on and some minutes after I've turned it off.
With the HDMI connection you set RGB full "ON" and the color setting (whatever that's called) to RGB instead of that ypyiyyyyyy crap. And there you go.
I agree with the opinions above and I'll just add mine. It's really simple. If you're buying an HDTV you should really not buy the cheapest one. I have and it's an LG 32" produced in march this year. It's fine for watching both DVD and bluray and well for games too but the black levels arent' too good and I get color banding. In gray and blue areas I can see colors overlapping unless I adjust the brightness. I sort of regret not buying a better one but I'll do that later anyways. I miss my SDTV's black levels. If you don't have an RGB cable ----get one----. You'll see it straight away. Also the bigger your screen the better it'll look in HD. It looked fantastic on my old 19" SD. But ---get the damn RGB cable---.
