EA makes a lot of games so it's very common to see their logo on the cover and sometimes, the game turns out to be rubbish. But I don't steer clear of EA games because some of them produce good work. I loved the FIFA series, and I felt that they did a great job on The Sims series, and I hear Battlefield is great too so in conclusion, EA does give some quality work, even if it is a rarity.

Oh yeah and I was MAJORLY disappointed with Army of Two. I felt that it had so much potential...

I mean jeez, its a fantastic game! But I always see people saying COD4 is better than Halo 3, which it simply isnt. Halo 3 is a lot more polished, has a better story, better ending (I mean comon COD4 is so cliche), longer single player, WAY better multiplayer, WAY better and detailed stat tracking (bungie.net amazing how many stuff you can see about your multiplayer career), it takes a lot more skill to be successful playing halo 3 in multiplayer because if you shoot a person with 3 bullets theyre not dead and they have a chance to fight back, unlike COD4 which pretty much consists of whoever sees who first wins the fire fight. THe musical score in halo 3 is a lot better than COD4 too. Pretty much everything in Halo 3 is better than COD4.

Try to dispute any of my points. Or try to prove that COD4 is better than Halo 3.

Ay_Boo_Boo

What? That's absolutely ridiculous. Halo 3 better than COD 4? No way. COD 4 had by far the better multiplayer. And in my opinion, a far more mature online community. In Halo 3 you could practically run around butting people with your rifle and survive. In COD 4 there's more skill involved. To say that Halo 3 has a better multiplayer is absolute bullsh*t. I agree, though, that COD 4's single player was short and a bit disappointing but some of the cut scenes were awesome. And anyway, you play COD 4 for MP, not SP.

Don't get me wrong, I've played all 3 Halo games but I feel that ever since the first game, everything's been going downhill. The first game was spectacular, and it truly deserved all the praise it got. The 2nd game, not as good, but still decent. By the time I played Halo 3 I got so bored that making it past the first level without turning the console off became a problem. Gears in my opinion was far better than Halo is and ever will be. And so was COD 4.

Wow I didn't know anyone cared about ratings anymore.
It shouldn't be a problem convincing your parents to get Halo 3 for you. Halo 3 should be given a lower rating IMO. The violence is minimal, no foul language at all ( I think ) and the blood is minimal as well. Show a vid. of a person chainsawing someone on GoW and compare that to a person shooting aliens in H3 and I think that that would make your point clear.

Thanks for all the replies guys, but I have another few questions.
1. I don't plan on going online, at least not for now, so what are games that are good even w/o the online content?
2. Worth it to buy CoD4 w/o online?
3. People have been talking about Mass Effect but it to me it doesn't quite fit what I want to play. BUT, it's in the RPG category and I've just been given a great first impression when I played my first RPG - Oblivion. So question is : If I liked Oblivion, would I like ME?
Oh yeah and BioShock disappointed me a bit on the PC.

Ok I've recently gotten my 360 two weeks ago and I've bought the following games for it: The Simpsons, Oblivion, Gears of War, Halo 3 and PGR 4.

Christmas is coming up and I'm thinking of more games to get and I'm wondering what are your Must Have Games on the 360 of all time? I've heard Mass Effect and CoD4 popping up every where as well as the occasional mention of BioShock ( Which I already have on PC ).

Gears of War for me, even though I haven't played Halo 3 ( I have played Halo and Halo 2 and I do own a copy of Halo 3 )

Graphically, GoW was an outstanding achievement and the gameplay was much more appealing and entertaining to me than the Halo series ever was.

But that's my opinion only though, if you don't like it, then that's your problem.
