I should thank Nintendo for removing the GBA slot on the most expensive DS version then. Epic fail...

Those are some of the top games Nintendo created, and their GBA adaptations were amazing. :)

Now, since I recently purchased the DSi and I am unable to play them, due to the lack of GBA slot, are there any plans for an upcoming Vintage Mario game?

Perhaps Super Mario 1-3 and World combined in one DS game? It would be awesome, not to mention it would sell a lot.

How about creating games that look better on the DSi by using it's hardware to it's full potential, while being playable but with less detail on the old DS?

That way everyone will be happy, the old DS users will get a game that will be good DS quality wise and the DSi owners will be able to enjoy better detailed visuals and effects.

No one loses, all are happy and more people will be motivated to buy the new DSi, which is good, no?

The DS game is completely different then the original yoshi's island and its a new entry/sequel in the series so thats why it didn't score the same.

So it means that the SNES version is a better game I suppose. That's dissapointing. :(

Both Yoshi's Island SNES and GBA versions received amazing review scores and people loved them. why does the Nintendo DS version have such a low score in ALL gaming websites except from Gamespot? It received around 7.5-8/10 on average. What's the difference between the original(SNES) and the DS one, and which one is the best?

I believed the DS can pull off N64 quality graphics, but obviously I was mistaken. :( My first game was Zelda: Phantom Hourglass and I was really disappointed by the low-res, bulky and pixelated environment, it looks far worse than any PSone game. At least N64 used a blur effect that filtered the graphics and removed those god-awful pixels thus made games look more smooth, but unfortunately this is not the case with the DS. You get to witness some huge low-res pixels that made my eyes cry. How can people compare the graphic to the N64 ones? I think I won't survive trying to play Mario64 DS, it was my favorite N64 game and I am afraid I will be very dissapointed.
