[QUOTE="Citizen_Zero"][QUOTE="baddog121390"][QUOTE="PannicAtack"][QUOTE="Danm_999"][QUOTE="Sketchbaz"][QUOTE="PannicAtack"]Morrowind was dumbed down compared to Daggerfall. But still it wasn't dumbed down half as much as Oblivion. I'm glad someone else said it. Morrowind was dumbed down from Daggerfall. Granted, I haven't played any of the Elder Scrolls games, but I often hear alot of people whining about how "Morrowind was better!" than Oblivion. >_>I'll talk to you about Elder Scrolls.
I'm assuming you think that Oblivion was dumbed-down as a result of being developed for a console? What about Morrowind? That came out at about the same time on the XBox as on PC, just a few months difference. >_>

However, I think that the notion that games are dumbed-down because they're made on consoles is stupid. They're dumbed-down so that they can appeal to a wider audience and sell more copies to casuals. Then, they port the games to consoles to sell games to a wider audience, which is the console gamers. However, the two are unrelated for dumbing-down. >_>
Yes, consoles have many more casuals...who think they are hardcore. Therefore, putting it on consoles, they have to dumb it down -- because of it's fanbase -- not platform. Unless it's due to hardware/control configurations. So the consoles are not dumbing down the games, the fanbase is? So why does every one say the console it's self is to blame?Because it's easy access for all the casuals. Dumby proof. PC and console have majorly different fans.
So the console it's self is not to blame, it's the console fanbase that is to blame aka more casuals.
