Someone on the Bioware forums posted this and it clearly illustrates for me how I (and perhaps some people) feel about all this ME3 DLC:
"I think the anger and frustration stems from the fact that people actually want to buy the DLC and immerse themselves in the story and universe again, but simply can't because there's no meaning to it. That's how I look at Mass Effect now. A year ago I would have bought this DLC without hesitation. Now I just don't see the point."
@MudPie210 @Cloud418 I am not arguing about the ending really. My gripe is all this "before-heading-to-earth" DLC. I guess some people will enjoy hanging out with characters and getting new dialogue but it all leads to the same ending. For me its not enough to get back into the ME3 universe unless there is a post game DLC about Joker or the Normandy crew on the planet they landed. That would be awesome.
None of this changes the finality of the ending. Its just another reminder that no matter what we do in whatever DLC they release the ending is FINAL. I just wish there was some sort of post game DLC, all this before-heading-to-earth DLC is pointless.
Its like "Oh hey, another thing to do before heading to the save the world." when the whole point of the game was to save the world, after that is done there is nothing left to do (thats the way the writers intended it) so why keep releasing all these missions that seem to be left on Shepard's "to do" list but he didn't get done because the priority was Earth?
