He probably thinks it's baldur's gate dark alliance 2. Here's the difference: greatest rpg of all time on pc, and a normal hack and slash on the ps2/xbox.

Yeah, I don't care how bad the game is, this is just great news. Imagine MGS4 on the go. OMG!
you have to be near your PS3 :|
Well then imagine MGS4 in your kitchen!!!!!!!!!!! OMG PS3 GOTY
When a PSP game has better controls than its PS3 counterpart, you know that something is horribly, horribly wrong. Maybe the number 4.5 might explain it.
Ugh...and outside of a couple of possible responses (such as Chrono Trigger or FFIII), all the Japanese regurgitated same-old-crap-in-a-new-box responses do nothing for me, save scream "IMANOOB".
Edit: Okay, I'll take FF7 as not too noobish. I disagree with it as being best, but I could see how some people might have some very fond memories of it.

I think WRPGS and JRPGS should be taken in completely different context of each other. Both have radically different gameplay experiences, even if both involve leveling up and choosing abilities, etc. It's all a matter of preference, although I do enjoy WRPGS more than JRPGS.
