[QUOTE="Codename33"]Yes, 1 disc is necessary for all games. I mean, RE4, Baldur's Gate, and FF7 are all so terrible...sparkypants

you fail that was 2 generations ago and multiple discs were the best thing out at the time(no way in hell that game was going to fit in a cartridge or single CD), now with Blu-ray or even HDDVDmultiple discs shouldnt be an issue, but yet heres MS, oh well whatever makes you happy I guess

So you're saying that taking 20 seconds of your time to change the disc is the absolute end of the world? Please, explain how this is such an issue that it would make bluray "necessary"

Oh no, you have to switch discs every few hours, oh the horror. I'm pretty sure saving 20 seconds of time isn't exactly what I'd call a reason to take the ps3 version over other versions.

I thought the whole point of consoles was playing with a controller? If I wanted kb + m, I'd just get the game for the pc.

Cows:

Before: Rumble isn't necessary, it's so last-gen

After: Rumble makes Ps3 complete!

Before: Graphics don't matter (ps2)

After: Graphics are everything! (ps3)

Before: The wii controls are a gimmick

After: The sixaxis motion controls is so revolutionary!

Bioshock and Mass Effect have the top spots for GOTY IMO

3rd place would be between Crysis and UT3.

I've never played a single game from id software besides Doom, and I just saw how great a deal the id super pack was on Steam.

It includes the following games for a nice price of $63: Commander Keen, Doom 3 + expansion, Doom 2 + master levels, Final Doom, Heretic, Hexen, Hexen 2, Hexen: Deathkingsof the Dark Citadel Quake w/ 2 mission packs, Quake 2 w/ 2 mission packs, Quake 3 Arena, Q3 Team Arena, Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Spear of Destiny, Ultimate Doom, and Wolfenstein 3D

Considering the games would cost $214 on steam if you buy them individually, it seems like a big savings. People who've played these games, are they worth spending my money on?

Maybe it's because of the great games on it, cause that's what people usually buy a game system for.

Definitely Unreal Tournament. Even without a huge modding/ map-making community, unreal still shipped with plenty more multiplayer options and maps than halo 2. Also, the gameplay in unreal is much more fast-paced and I find it more entertaining and skillful. With the modding community, the content level ofUT is just so much larger than halo 2 that I'm surprised people are having fun playing so few maps and gametypes in halo.

I think you forgot Mass Effect, cause I didn't see it on your list.

Honestly, I don't think any single game will "own" the holiday, since there are so many great games that are being released in the 2nd half of 2007.

EDIT: No CoD 4, Assassin's Creed, or Mercenaries 2 on your list? Your forgot a lot of good games :P
