The 70's IMO. The Who, Queen, and Pink Floyd at their best, and I can't argue with that.

Definitely Gilliam. Brazil and the Monty Python movies are masterpieces. I really hated Tideland though. I guess I just missed the "genius" of it that Gilliam had to point out before the movie even begins on DVD...

Seriously, this thread isn't going to "convert" people from playing console games to playing on the pc. Both systems have different styles, and those who like the style of pc gaming probably already have the gear they need to decently play pc games. And really, it doesn't require much to play a pc game unless you're looking to play crysis at max settings.

For competitive games nowadays (Counterstrike source, Quake, Starcraft, WoW, etc.), you can probably run them at the lowest settings for decent fps. What some people don't get is that pc games are built to last. It's not all about playing the "it" game for a few months and then buying the next "it" game that comes out. People can play the same game for years without getting bored of it. CSS and WoW have been around for almost 3.5 years, Quake 3 has been around for around 8-9 years, and Starcraft (still a very popular game) has been played for over 10 years now. And guess what? They're all played by a large number of people. Pc gaming isn't all about the graphics, so I just wanted to clear that up.

[QUOTE="PSTriple4life"]

What kind of service makes you pay to change your name or even download a Demo!!!!

Ha what a joke, sucks to be a lemming. I mean having to pay for maps, p2p, ect

jimhogg

you have to pay to change your name in wow...

That's one game, not a whole service. And as for the OP, you don't pay to download a demo... but I agree it's BS that you pay $10 for 3 maps when you can get 50+ decent maps for most multiplayer pc games for free.

Ever since SW was invented, 8-8.5 games were considered trash when they were hyped 9+. There's no changing after such a long period of misinformation, I'm sorry :(

The PC has had 64 player battles for at least 10 years, and there are servers that hold up to 10,000 people at once. Not sure how 60 player battles are so exciting and new, IMO.
