Spoke too soon, found out today that both of my dad's lungs acting up, the left side has an infection while blood clots are in the right.  This came as another shock to the already complicated situation.  He is now on antibiotics and will require a daily injection of blood thinners for the next 6 months to clear up the clots.  Apparently we [my mom and I] are supposed to learn how todo it eventually so that we can help him inject it O_o.  I cannot see myself doing this, a little too much for me.

Well life goes on and I need to press on, dad is still in high sprits so I guess this is just another obstacle we'll have to overcome.

In other news downloaded the crackdown demo today but I probably won't have time to try it out till later in the week seeing as how I have a few assignments due on Thursday. Oi good day to you all.

Well still hanging in there, my dad is 2/3 done his first cycle of radiation and chemo.  Overall he seems to be taking it quite well with no major side effects other than tiredness; fatigue.  Feb 1st will mark the end of the radiation and he will be given a month of rest before continuing chemo again. 

Thanks again to the mods and active posters at the Gundam and Mecha Union for keeping the union alive and well, I appreciate it guys.  I may not have the time to read everypost but if you feel a need to ask something send a PM and I'll try to get back to you as soon as possible.

In other news Bleach is done the fillers and I've started to watch Code Geass, everybody who hasn't should start (it has some mecha action for the mecha fans)

Since the topic of my blog lately has been pretty sad and boring, allow me to change the subject....

Over the summer I was on exchange in Shanghai, it was a joint program between York University(Toronto,Canada) and Fudan University(Shanghai, China). Anyways they have some crazy fireworks over there ... we happened to be at the right place at the right time. Enjoy

The good news is that they removed all of the tumor, well what they could see anyways.  My dad's pretty crazy strong too, got up and started to walk around eat and talk 4 hours after surgery, BRAIN SURGERY!!! anyways he is quite optimistic and very strong, quite the role model.  The doctor's discharged him todo and he is now home.

Bad news is that its a magliant tumor meaning it might come back and he wil have todo radiation and oral chemo to prevent that from happening.  The tumor is a "primary brain tumor" meaning it wont spread to other parts of the body which is good news aswell. 

Thanks for everybody's prayers and well wishes, I reallly appreciate it and I'm sure my family does aswell.  We still have a long battle ahead but I'm sure we'll win given that we overcame this hurdle.

btw sorry for the poor grammer or language if you don't understand this its probably because I dont have the time or energy to proof read, I've only gotten 8,9 hours of sleep in the past 48 hours. 

My dad will undergo brain surgury on Thursday November 30 to remove the brain tumour.  The doctor is quite confident and there is little to no risk of any serious dangers.

My final exams are on the following Thursday, hopefully everything goes according to plan.

Well, how should I start ... after completing a CT scan doctors found a large mass on my dad's brain.  Further scans have confirmed that its a tumor, we do not know if its benign or malignant, but the doctors are optimistic since its located on the surface and can be easily operated. 

I pray that its benign a "simple" surgery will solve the probelm and I can simply wake up from this nightmare. 

It's really something to see your dad cry, heck it's been the first time in a while since I've cried.  You really learn to treasure and appreciate what you have.  Do yourself a favour give your parents a kiss or hug tonight, tell them how much you love and care for them, you never know when things like this can just pop up and catch you off guard.

I know I will be able to over come this hurdle, but for the time being I'm probably going to be on GS less, surgury should be before December and hopefully all goes according to plan.

Guild Wars: Nightfall
I've started playing Guild Wars and first impressions are GREAT! (btw I got two copies because I have two accounts, stupid story since they didn't have the option to add character slots when I got the first game I had to buy another copy so that I could get more slots ... yadda yadda). Anyways I must first comment on the great music score, its simply great and really suits the "african" theme. The good folks at Anet also added a bunch of new features: 2 new classes, templete system, LOTS of new skills, armors, more missions and all the stuff you would expect an expansion to have. If you didn't pick up the last expansion Guild Wars: Factions because of mixed reviews then I suggest you go get this one, major improvement.

Final Fantasy XII


Well I'm only one hour into the game, can't really say much except the opening CG movie was quite impressive, this game was definately worth the 6+ year? wait. I was a bit disappointed with the Collector's Edition case which was exclusive to EB (in Canada). I was hoping for a full metal case like the Splinter Cell: CT limited case, instead it feels a bit cheapish ... well not as sturdy as the splinter cell one, they have thin metal plates covering the front and back, the inside is plastic. I have yet to watch the bonus dvd that came with the CE.

I also picked up the limited guide (20% off if i get it with the game :D) much to my disappointment I got the Vaan cover :?, its just ... well if you've seen pictures of him you know what I mean. On a good note the artbook is nice. Can't really comment on how good the guide is since I havn't use it yet ..


Eureka Seven

It came with the second manga book and a t-shirt. I have no idea why bandai keeps releasing a box every other dvd. Now I have two boxes which are half empty.

Well I received my new videocard and everything seems to be working properly now.  (Running a X800XT AIW)  Glad to see the new mods for the Gundam and Mecha Union keeping things alive, keep up the great work guys.  :D

I have my last midterm on Wednesday so I should be able to get back to some gaming.  Perfect timing as Guild Wars: Nightfall is coming out this Friday WOOT WOOT! and Final Fantasy 12 the following week (pre-ordered the CE at EB Games)

One last thing, I've decided to start taking requests for banners, sigs, w/e photoshopping you need, just PM me the urls to the images you want, what you want and any specific details you want included.  Maybe I'll make a sig request thread in the union just like how we did it for the Naruto Board a while back.  It may take a week or so to complete but heck this will probably help with my University STRESS!!

i fried my mobo or videocard so I won't be on as often.  Hopefully I can get it fixed in a week or 2.  Surfing on my laptop just isn't the same >.

York University sucks

1 ) We start classes early
2 ) Parking is a mess, it takes me 16 mins to walk to my class
3 ) Driving there is a pain with all the traffic
4 ) I ALREADY HAVE A MIDTERM EXAM and its the 3rd week
5 ) Did I mention that 16min walk?
6 ) I have my finance class in a screening room, yes for watching movies
7 ) The textbook store has a 45 min lineup min
8 ) Yet I can only blame myself for choosing this
9 ) Hey only 1.5 more years till I graduate
10) Then I get todo another 3 years at law school there
