@charizard1605: Sony barely even supported the thing to begin with. They might as well have made this so called official announcement over a year ago. Maybe they spent or wasted all of that time trying think of a way to sugarcoat their announcement. Calling it a "legacy platform" does sound kind of cute. Pathetic but cute.
Half Life 2 is better than most newer FPS games, but I always thought that HL1 was extremely overrated (too many annoying tedious puzzles that screw up the pace of the game).
Genuinely curious, but while I agree the puzzles are lame (and the first person platforming) - I don't see why those would bother you so much when a lot of Half Life 2 is spaced out with some tedious seesaw puzzles that are entirely dedicated to "look guys, we made a physics engine"
The puzzles in HL2 just seemed more simple, subtle and enjoyable to me and they didn't interrupt the flow of the game at all.
