i believe black people continue using the word as a way of hanging onto their culture and never forgetting that part of their history. it really is just a word and white people shouldnt worry about it since it doesnt have anything to do with them anymore.

Cutlure, you call such a degrading word part of our culture. I'm black and I'm rather proud of it and I know for a fact that most young black people of this generation could care less about black history. And why should white person ignore a word their probably hearing constantly everyday from the radio or on the street.

in those times if a rich person stole something they where considered a thief, if a peasant stole something they where considered a convict and either hanged or sent to some other county, never to see there homeland or family again. If you where not rich then you where considered a peasant and peasants where considered inferior. Convicts where treated worse then slaves, atleast slaves had some value placed on them.

Either we hang you or we ship you to some country that in those times was seen a the closest thing to hell, halfway across the world permanently. If you think that taking a loaf of bread because you and your family is starving is doing something wrong, then your moral compass is really screwed up.
